I am an Udemy junkie, have dozens of courses on my account. This one is the best programming course I have ever found here. It is well organized, the teacher is a native english speaker (which makes things much easier and comfortable), and it was really easy to understand. Excellent for starters that never had contact with KnockoutJS but with previous experience with HTML, CSS and JS.

Very good explained, very good examples worth every minute spend on it. Would worth even the regular price. Cheers!

I have taken several courses on Udemy and have experienced varying teaching styles which are all unique in their own way. The explanations and examples given in this course, in my opinion, are barely educational. If you don't know anything about Knockout.js, look elsewhere to learn about this JavaScript library. There is no time given to editing videos and mistakes are made by the instructor throughout the course. Unfortunately, I don't feel like I really learned anything beyond some of the basic Knockout syntax.

Course was a good guide to using KnockoutJS and what it brings to the table. The instructor went through many of the examples on the documentation and provided easier to understand details that may have been missed by just going through the documentation on KnockoutJS. Overall, good course that can be finished in a week to give you a solid grasp of data-binding and how it is used.

I found this course super accessible and fun. I even learned a tad bit of Bootstrap! The biggest improvement would be that this course is fairly old-school in terms of some of the JS styles. I had to refactor a lot of the instructor's code to ES6 to understand modern convention without "breaking" his examples. Had to figure a lot on my own in terms of stylistic convention. Otherwise, the instructor was great and I learned a lot; please this course could be better if JS conventions shown in tutorial were updated at least in supplementary source files. Thank you and happy coding!

It's a good course for those how haven't any previous experience with knockout JS. On the other side I would expect better explanations for concepts such as components or custom elements that have been presented very quickly using slides and a quite a few examples. More over the project built at the end of the course was very simple (e.g. no components or custom elements with params etc..) which means that the course probably won't prepare you for production applications.

The content is good though the examples are high-level and quite terse. The reason I subtracted 2 stars is the author thinks its ok to screw up in his videos and not edit mistakes out. Small mistakes are easily forgivable but there are times where he can't figure things out (checkbox scene) and he just gives up and moves on. To author: Remember your students paid money to watch this, don't make us watch you figure out how to use the framework.

Too often the instructor just reads the slides and doesn't offer contextual information. I'm wondering, why would I but this course vs. going through the documentation on http://knockoutjs.com/documentation ? The demonstration aspect is good. Typing in everything is OK for simple examples, but the instructor makes typos. Not totally bad, because I figured out errors before he did. So, it was a good learning experience.

Solid introduction to the basic usage of KO. All code is written live and the instructor explains every step calmly. In the course of watching all videos I got the impression that the instructor just worked through his list of topics as I didn't feel much passion or motivation from him. After a while I switched to 1,5x speed to match my personal learning speed. If you know JS, this course is fine to get the basic concepts and terms and can be watched entirely passive. To get a deeper understanding, looking up the official documentation is necessary.
