There are few chances to implement what you learn near the start as it is mainly covering overviews and basic information. As you go on you can take what you learn and attempt to use it in real environments to put your own programs together and gain a better understanding of how it works. The course itself provides all of the info you would need to do this, and also gives you solid advice as to where you can do further learning/where your questions will be answered if you get stuck at any point.

The instructor is knowledgeable and clear in the material he is delivering, there is definitely value in this course and the way he is delivering. It would've been great if there were some challenges/assignments to be completed in between modules to get self-assurance of understanding and practice.

I thought the class was very useful for a beginner like me. but I would have like to have had some documentation available that explained some of the terminology.

Very good course. The trainer has a talent to teach and he is for sure very experienced PL/SQL developer. You will quickly learn PL/SQL with all the features needed for usual project task in real life. Instructor do not waste your time for typing in front of you so in 7 hour you will learn the great amount of material. For some other similar courser you can expect 14 hours consumed for the same volume of information conveyed. Course materials contains all the code presented in the training. This is one of my most favorite course.

This course is absolutely fantastic in terms of lecture quality. But the issue is there is really no course work that is available to follow up for each lecture. I am only half way through the course and so I don't know if there is an availability to practice later on. I did download the examples that were made available. I am probably going to review the course several times while working on a project to get it all wired. Note: the "How to write a great review" link is broken.

I would recommend this course to anyone with interested in PL-SQL. The instructor speaks plain English which helps beginners follow along but he does not neglect the more experienced audience either by drawing parallels between PL-SQL and other programming languages.

This is an excellent hands-on beginner PL/SQL Programmer course. The material is presented in manageable bites and you can "pause and try it" yourself, building on prior lessons and also building a personal library of code examples along the way.

I appreciate having a good overview. Though I have experience with PL/SQL and it might be a bit challenging for someone who has no experience. Either way, I would like it because I like the presentation and a challenge. The student could review the lesson more than once if necessary.

The course was good, but the materials were missing some exercises (0 byte files) and the author couldn't seem to decide whether or not a sql file should be .sql or .txt, so I had to manually rename quite a few files. There were also some cases where early exercises references tables that weren't created until later in the example scripts. Other than that, this was a good survey course of PL/SQL, including some relatively advanced concepts.

This course needs minor tweeks to keep it par with the oracle certification and would request the instructor to keep updating with the latest tutorials such that the users like me could avoid taking courses from oracle and can buy directly the exams.
