Course Description

This is a course, which will introduce you to the fundamentals of computer programming, using one of the most popular modern programming languages - Go.

The goal of the course is not only to teach you programming, but help you master its fundamentals with lots of practice and a handful of projects. By the end of the course, you will develop very strong problem-solving skills, as well as the knowledge to build your own non-trivial programs.

But more importantly, you'll have a lot of fun along the way!

I strongly believe that programming should not only be about getting hired and earning a decent income. It should be about having fun  & enjoying the journey!

This is why, you won't be building boring programs such as calculators or calendars. You'll be building some of the most popular games we all love to play. Woo your friends by showing them your own versions of the popular Hangman, Pong and Snake games!

Regardless of what path you choose to take after you finish the course on your journey to learn programming, you would have developed very strong foundations which will serve you on the path to ace your first job interview and way after that.

But my greatest hope is that you'll develop a strong passion & drive to master programming, which will put you on the path to becoming a great developer!

Awesome teacher! I already knew how to program but I took this course to learn Go and it was excelent! Very fun approach to teach a language by creating games.

By Ronald R Tidd on 5/10/2024

extreme detail into the building blocks of go etc. experienced readers may want to skip ahead, but good job!

TL;DR; This is a good one! The instructor fully redeems the promised to lead you through a course teaching you creating games with Go. After a some intense introduction the course focuses really on game play, collisions, and other basics while when stumbling over new ideas, concepts or features (of Go) there is always time for a slide or drawing and explaining what's going on in the code and later reflect that. There may be missing some deeper inviews in constructions like channels of interfaces though but as deep as needed to stay on course with finishing the actual project everything is explained - at least conceptionally. Problems, errors, or self-introduced bugs are not just solved but handled explicitly in a way that you later understand where the problem was. I like that at least for the lectures I watched the font size of VS Code was some bigger and following on a mobile screen was easy. Sound was sometimes some hollow, but fully understandable. English with a slight accent but clear and always to the point.

Pretty good. The instructor provides fundamental information that will in turn become useful when we're developing application

Explaining absolute basics with good English, so even when I already know some basics I can learn correct programming vocabulary because I am not a native English speaker.

This course provides clear explanations of what is being done and the reasoning behind it. Pacing is good, and audio and video quality is fine.

Great course so far! The material is very well structured and leaves no gaps in what every beginner should know. The trainer has lots of experience and a great approach.

By Simeon Kotashki on 1/4/2022

A perfectly structured course. For beginners it doesn't only gives you the fundamental theory about programming with Go, but you are having lots of hands-on experience by doing a lot of exercises which is great.
