i've been trying to teach myself React by using a mixture of Freecodecamp and the odd Youtube video here and there. Scrimba brings the two learning processes together really well in a way that promotes experimentation (active learning instead of passive learning - i often find myself just 'watching' the youtube videos).

I'm about 30 lessons in and they instructor has gone through some core concepts of React that I had not seen in udemy videos I watched previously. As a reference, most React courses start out discussing state pretty early. This one doesn't even touch the stuff until the 20something video. Very thorough.

Scrimba is awesome by itself, but Bob Ziroll is the best teacher I've come across thus far.

The Scrimba course is free and is only React. He covers the bases very well and explains concepts and terms very well. The only downside for me was the Scrimba sandbox.

This is one of the best resources for an intro to react. I like it, because you can play with the code while learning.

100% FREE and the format is super cool - Essentially you're watching a screencast that you can click into and edit the code. Really awesome :)

This is really helpful indeed. A few years ago I had the opportunity to learn from these guys and not a day goes by that I feel so thankful and greatful to have attended V School. Bob is such an amazing and talented instructor.

I did the Scrimba's react class by Bob. I liked the course, but more precisely it was the instructors way of teaching.

I found the free react course on Scrimba to be incredible. Im about 75% of the way through it and have learned a ton, and the instructor makes it super easy to understand. I recommend it highly!

Just went through the Scrimba course. Although it seems a bit outdated (no Hooks, etc.) the course was great. Solid teacher, calm voice. I've never done anything on Scrimba before and it was pretty interesting as a beginner.

Scrimba is an amazing way to learn code. You can pause the tutorial at any time to tinker with the instructors code and see the results, so at anytime if you're lost or have questions, you can see what will happen if you change around code. Additionally, Bob does a great job of setting stuff up and encouraging you to finish components based off what he just taught to practice and make sure you understand how to do it.

Im a big fan of Bob Zirolls React course on Scrimba.com 15. He has a free beginners course that was the only resource that I found to be crystal clear. He walks you through all the building blocks systematically and makes you do them along the way.
