Billy is a professional drummer, educator, and music industry specialist based in the UK. He currently performs with a nationally touring ska band, which has received recent national radio airplay and continues to appear at well-known venues across the country. Billy has shared stages with major artists including Madness, Texas, and The Hoosiers, and has performed at festivals to audiences of tens of thousands.

With over 14 years of teaching experience and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Billy has taught music and music technology in UK secondary schools for more than a decade. He specialises in rhythm, performance, and the music industry, helping young musicians develop both technical skill and real-world understanding.

His musical journey began with youth orchestras and jazz ensembles, including a performance at the Royal Albert Hall at just 13 years old and a special appearance for members of the Royal Family during work experience with the military. As a session drummer, Billy has toured the UK and Europe, recorded with multiple bands, and released critically praised work—his album Dangerous State of Mind with the 51/50s was once described as “the best rock album since Appetite for Destruction.”

With basic knowledge of drumming this coarse really took me to a whole new level. It got me to a place where I got the know how and skill to confidently be used as a backup for our current worship group. I spent more time than I should've and printed out all tablature. This coarse can be completed in a month, I opted to break down each section more an completed this in 6 months. I am thoroughly impressed with the results. This coarse covers all topics and genres of drumming. Highly recommended.

Now that I'm back and better at drumming, this course is not well structured. It's hard to stay engaged with the simple beats. No video on how to properly kick your bass pedal, also lacking in some basic information that all drummers should know. Mostly about practice and not as much teaching.

Your a really good tutor Billy! He really showed me a lot of things that I did not learn about on YouTube and other. Though since I'm a metalhead. I'm a little bit dissapointed that there were no songs I liked (except Cleanin Out my Closet by Eminem which is really interesting btw). Either way this lesson is really good. I'm almost there on finishing this lesson and I really recommend to beginners and also the younger ones who are starting out drumming or the ones who is already professional and wants to learn more. 5 stars. more like 10 stars in fact.

This course is for beginners only. If you are intermediate or above, there are very few new things you will learn. That for "All Levels" label in the description is misleading, that is why I give 3 stars. But if you are a beginner, this might be a really good course for you.

As a beginner, I have learned a lot from this courses though I am still not up to the standard to tackle fast beats. I still need lots of practice on the tracks especially the last part of the course.

Of course. Although I have been played the drum for years, I missed some techniques and styles of basic drumming. Whatever, this course make me to see what I missed and what i need to improve.
