This hands-on course will show you how to get creative and productive with the basic brushes and tools in Painter. This course is designed for the absolute beginner, meaning no experience with Painter is required. You will start by learning how to manage layers, then jump into learning about the Painter desktop, including the toolbox, color panels, and menu commands. From there, Rhoda will teach you brush control basics and how to use cloner brushes. This video tutorial will also cover topics such as the effects menu, selection techniques, working with text, and dynamic layers. Other topics include auto-painting, smart stroke cloning, and the watercolor brushes. This course includes several projects to help you learn how to effectively use the tools in Painter, including creating a pastel portrait, a travel poster, an urban collage, and a caricature drawing. Once you have completed the course, you will be fully capable of using the tools and brushes in Painter to create your own digital artwork. trainer is going way too fast. Not demonstrating any particular technique clearly. Can barely see where the pointer is...

I really enjoyed how the instructor was focused on the concepts, she introduced. Her tutorial was well thought out. If her presentation is to fast. You can always slow the video speed down. I use .75 to help me follow her instruction. She is very talented and uses techniques that are refreshing to learn and use.

As always Infinity seems to be well organized covering a lot of ground. May have to review a few times due to the power of this program. Find that I must do a bit of digging when practicing some applications as there are certain switches that must be adjusted to achieve the effect and they are not always identified.

this course felt very much a drag,for beginners I would have liked more update on corel painter .so I could not recommend this for absaloute beginners,its ok for anyone with some knowledge of digital art. for myself I was lost.having spent a lot of money on corel painter 2018 its back to the dawing board.

I enjoyed this course I had to slow the instructor down as she talks fast and very sing song like. Great course she is a good teacher and would take more of her courses when she updates them

There are moments where it is hard to tell how the instructor did what she did, but they are rare. The explanations are clear and the pacing is good. It is a good introduction to Painter.

This class is amazing! The instructor is very knowledgeable and lays out the course in a well-organized manner. If you've never used Corel Painter, this class will help you. Even if you have version 2016.The instructor provides all of the material and files needed for this class. This way you don't have to go fishing on your own. She shows you all of the panels and the basics of what you need to get started using Painter.As she shows your more advanced aspects to the application, she provides demonstrations that relate to what you're seeing. It's gives you a good visual of what you need to do and what you need to pay attention to.Her presentation stays on-track. She also shows how you can use it for not only photo manipulation, but how to draw freehand. Artists will find this very useful.The only reason I don't give it a full five is because there are questions here that are unanswered and have been for a while. And the second reason is, we didn't get to see how that stunning Lion image was created!I will find going back to this course very useful.
