Ive learned so much so fast about filemaker, the creator of this program is very pleasing, he explains every detail in a way that makes complete sense and doesnt leave me walking away confused. My learning picked up after i started watching this for filemaker, thank you for making this! Cheers!

I'm new to filemaker, and the information was thorough. However, being an older guy, material was often presented faster than I could comprehend. I believe I selected a course that needs the student to have a stronger foundation before doing this course.

The course is fantastic. The Udemy mobile app not so much. Very often (especially when I set the video to full screen ) the video is frozen to the previous lesson and does not update or play along. The audio though plays the new lesson. I have to to back to the previous lesson and forward to the new one to get the video playing again.

I have more understanding of FM possibilities and different approaches, especially the power of scripts and table occurrences. Very good on details even as just a starter solution. I would like more on displaying/organizing found sets for different uses. There are many helpful tips on best practices.

So far it is what I expected, but a bit early to be definitive. I believe my skill level in certain areas is quite high and in other areas not so good. My expectation from this course is to become a more rounded developer. Now I have reached half way in the course, I can say yes I have learned a lot of new things and more specifically more efficient ways of doing things.

As a newcomer to filemaker, I found the course very helpful. I began the course as recommended, creating a solution along side the instructor. As I progressed, I realized much of the instruction applies to all solutions. Realizing this I began adapting one of my files that I needed for a project. As the course progressed I was able to make my solution a project I could be proud of. I especially like the way the instructor made the scripts and layouts universal. By doing so the coding is reduced considerably. I really enjoyed and intend to revisit this course repeatedly in my use of filemaker.

NOt really got into any details yet. Just a lot of stuff I'm not interested in. However, this could change as the course progresses

it tends to go some what quickly (this could be me because I am starting out with FM But one can always slow it down ! and of course do the lesson again - Well finished it at last - Was at times very difficult, and as already said , very fast (F1 racing) Maybe it was above me, as I am just starting out BUT patience , joining it again and again and again , makes it more interesting because after a few times you really get to understand what its all about - Still have a few issues with Scripts and relationships BUT - start again after the holidays :)

I've been working with FileMaker since version 12 and purchased this course to see if I could learn anything new. I found the course provided very good practical techniques and clear instructions. I even managed to learn a few new tricks and techniques. All instructions - especially around scripts very clear and easy to understand. Well worth the money.
