I left this rating because of the clarity of his explanations, his speed, he is not rushing through the material. Also, there isn't a lot of backtracking that you in some courses, he knows what he is going to say and says it. The one thing I really like is the advance speed and typing accuracies.

Good presentation, easy to follow, and introduces useful tools to aid in learning and development. Covers all of the aspects you will need to know to get started with MySQL, creating databases, and exploring the features. Be aware that the versions of MySQL and other software may not match those you currently download but you shouldn't have any problems using the information to apply to newer versions (be sure to have the MySQL reference manual webpages handy when things don't work exactly the same!)

Other than some very major changes to the layout of MySQL workbench since this class was recorded everything has been great! A little research and some trial and error got me right on track.

This course is a great introduction to MYSQL. The instructor was easy to understand and follow. The examples related to the real world and at the end he provided direction on building this skill set for future use.

no response from the instructor missing information - all of the sudden one of the "test" DBs was modified from one lesson to the next without explaining/showing how or providing sample files

The course presents a lot of information well. Presenting a wealth of information for downloading and setting up MySQL on your desktop. Getting hands on with a terminal command line interface learning the syntax of SQL, setting up databases, tables, etc. Laying a ground work of familiarity with SQL before being introduce to graphical SQL clients. So far it's been a big help in tackling this formidable topic.

I thought this course will cover the nuts and bolts of MySQL, but vast majority of chapters are geared towards SQL and DMLs. Besides that the instructor did justice to topic he covered though. This course is for newbies and definitely good one.

I took the class but didn't really use it much at work. After everyone got me signed on, I picked it up really fast. I now use it more than most of the other people in the office and it totally made my job easier, more accurate and saved me hours of time at work!

Very easy to understand MySQL with this course. The instructor voice is clear and peaceful, that makes Learning easier. The best part is that he gives real life examples when teaching a subject. 5 stars!
