The course has essential and really important matters inside for system administration, anyway I would have appreciated explanations done in a more beautiful environment. It was ugly to use paint and that stuff for explanations and made it harder to understand, anyway is not so important because those explanations were a small amount of the course. I think covers all important issues, also uses CentOS, so you can professionally use RHEL without much trouble applying all seen here. Is obvious how the trainer has a lot of knowledge regarding this topic.

Great introductory course on Linux. I bought the course since I had no previous experience in Linux, and needed to learn it in a relatively short amount of time for a new job. it covers A LOT of information in that short period of time. It took me 7 days (4-5 hours daily) to really grasp all of the commands and concepts. The support is also fantastic, with the instructors providing comprehensive answers to each question. I get a good $9.99 deal in the blackfriday recommended for everyone

Positive sides: He is definitely knowledgeable and is really trying to explain at his best. There were some lections that made me understand everything so much better, for example those related to the FS and Swap, also the grub2 (this is really useful). I understand that he devoted time and knowledge in the making of this course and hence the 3th star of my rating but this course definitely needs a serious rework. (at least this is my opinion) Negative sides: Awful structure of the course Way too many typos Saying "ok" or "alright" too often Missing information regarding so many vital things in order to comprehend how Linux works. I have some examples here: - Zombie , without explaining parent processes … - Grub2 without explaining how Linux is being loaded - Grep & find, locate - When trying to cat mem and nothing happened, he just moved on … - Talking about kernel changing values without explaining how the kernel works or what commands he uses. - Lection 7 : installing Centos7 , when in Lection 3 we had the kernel already updated :D without any prior knowledge of the used commands… - Fork system not explained- he just watched the word fork and stand silently - Naming targets and modes without explaining what are they and how to use them - Way too many typos - Promised to explain how to take a brand new PE and make a partition on it, then LV and formating + mapping on the Linux OS, instead of that just changed the ID of existing drive, already mapped to the OS.

Instructor did well, however some sections were hard to follow with the mistyping of commands that had to be retyped. no reference material added as resources. Had to download to get more detail.

I have seen the first video, Your explanation of the different components. I never really knew the proper functions of the Kernel. In fact, I often thought that shell was sort of a backup to the kernel! I am flattered already and thank you very much for your gift of teaching.

By Pratik Patel on 2/17/2018

the course is basic and it does look different from the outside like the main headline in "Linux Administration Complete Bootcamp 2018", ask yourself does it is complete Bootcamp? Also at the start of the course, it shows one pdf of the syllabus: file:///C:/Users/PK/Downloads/Linux-Admin-CC.pdf under which Chapter 7: NTP Server is mention while the instructor did not cover this topic. First time I used Udemy but not impress at all.

By Baldev Acharya on 1/19/2018

Very well presented and explained. I've tried learning Linux before by using some rather excellent books, but it is much more easily digestible in video format. Don't expect to MASTER Linux in five days, though. Practicing will add a significant amount of time to your studies (although it might just be me that feels that way). Still, by far the best Linux course I've tried. Thumbs up!

By Raymond Kayser on 1/10/2018

This course was okay. There are many topics missing that are needed to be a complete Linux Administrator. There was nothing much on Networking, Security (IPTables or Firewalld), file permissions, process priorities, setting up LVM, etc. However, the instructor did show me several news things from YUM package management and a new method to recreated the root password from single user mode. You can tell the instructor is very knowledgeable about the subject. This course could really be good if more content is added. Much appreciation. Raymond Update: The course instructor continues to update the course with new material. He is also responsive to questions. This could easily be one of the better Linux courses if more content continues to be added. Good job!
