LIVE Streaming Masterclass: Start Live Streaming like a Pro (Udemy.com)

This course is outdated and not relevant as of 2026. It teaches how to use live streaming via Periscope and Twitter, but Periscope as a standalone platform was shut down several years ago, and live streaming on Twitter/X has since changed significantly. As a result, the tools, workflows, and examples covered in the course no longer reflect the current live streaming landscape. And the instructor is using an outdated version of OBS. As of February 2026, OBS Studio 32.0.4 is the latest version available, which makes the material in the course no longer up to date.

I have basic knowledge on OBS/Youtube streaming and entered with learning technical expectations mindset. But I left here with the knowledge of an emcee/presenter, "to sell" the show. Although I will still be a new producer working behind the scene. But this course will allow me work with the emcee/presenter better, to put up a great show and also have to confidence to handle the technical matters (like multicast, lighting, Facebook restrictions...).

Upfront, its not mentioned that 1) you need 100 Y TUBE subscribers to be able to go live, 2) software on MAC computer, the camera is not compatible, so doing live on computer without webcam does not work 3) the coarse fails to mention all the apps you need to upload, this should be in lesson 1, these are the apps that you will need and then everything is prepped for the coarse, I will be unable to complete this, due to the above problems that I have with the coarse, the instructor is good, but there are many details as above that he has not made clear

I am finding that some of the information is too basic. I mean, I didn't know it before but if I went through a youtube tutorial, I would receive the same information. But then there are sections that are very helpful like adding a logo on the screen, etc.

I have watched most of the courses...I have bought the recommended equipment (external webcam and microphone). I might also buy equipment for my Apple products. I haven't posted anything yet....but I am about to do it. I think that course is informative on optimization and monetization of social media.

This course is very comprehensive, and everything is presented in a clear way, so a beginner like me can understand everything. There are really helpful assignments too.
