Machine Learning - Next Terminator is Here...?
The concept of Artificial Intelligence is used in sci-fiction movies to describe a virtual entity that crossed some critical threshold point and developed self-awareness. And like any good Hollywood movie, this entity will turn against humankind. OMG! It’s a great concept to fuel our basic survival fear; otherwise, no one will buy a ticket to the next Terminator movie ;-)
As you may guess, things, in reality, are completely different. Artificial Intelligence is one of the biggest revolutions in the software industry. It is a mind-shift on how to develop software applications. Instead of using hard-coded rules for performing something, we let the machines learn things from data, decipher the complex patterns automatically, and then use it for multiple use cases.
AI-Powered Applications
There are growing amounts of AI-powered applications in a variety of practical use cases. Websites are using AI to better recommend visitors about products and services. The ability to recognize objects in real-time video streams is driven by machine learning. It is a game-changing technology, and the game just started.
Simplifying Things
The concept of AI and ML can be a little bit intimidating for beginners, and specifically for people without a substantial background in complex math and programming. This training is a soft starting point to walk you through the fundamental theoretical concepts.
We are going to open the mysterious AI/ML black box, and take a look inside, get more familiar with the terms being used in the industry. It is going to be a super interesting story. It is important to mention that there are no specific prerequisites for starting this training, and it is designed for absolute beginners.
Would you like to join the upcoming Machine Learning revolution?

excelente abordaem sobre um tema que desconhecia e que me deu um melhor entendimento sobre o alcance e o poder da IA. Gostei bastante do formato.

wow, the presenter is amazing, really love the tonality, accuracy and speed with which the person is explaining difficult to understand at first concepts making them easy to digest, internalize and memorize. Great visuals also

Good match, because it avoids the technical component (programming and mathematical formulas). I wish the transcript could be cleaned up.

Like the title states, this course provides a good set of fundamental concepts to help someone getting into AI tools understand what these tools are doing with your prompt and the data the model was trained on. It discusses enough material to understand what a good prompt is and why prompting is so important to getting reliable results from a LLM/AI Chat.

I like the way the professor is conveying the concepts, i am finding easy to understand. The way he is conveying the concepts with reference to real-time examples is making the topics more interesting.

I’m really enjoying the course so far. I’m about halfway through, and now entering an “extra” section within my learning path, and everything has been incredibly interesting and well-structured. Beyond the technical knowledge, the course has also helped me gain a new perspective on some personal projects I’m building with Copilot. It’s giving me more empathy for the process — which is definitely more complex and time-consuming than it might seem at first! Overall, it’s been a very valuable and insightful learning experience.

I am just beginning to explore what AI is and how it works. These lectures are very easy to follow so far and helping me to understand.
By Emily Wall on 3/17/2026
It really put together in a relatively simple fashion the background of machine learning. I found it helpful to listen to the lecture at 1.25 speed.
By Tripp Woll on 2/25/2026
The examples and explanations seem watered down, not very detailed. Too simplistic. I did appreciate the instructor and felt he was knowledgeable, but I wish the training could be more detailed on the structure of AI to explain more on how it functions.

Excellent introduction to machine learning. The presenter was easy to listen to and explained things really well in terms a beginner in this field could understand. Highly recommend this course.
