I’ve been extremely impressed with Charlie’s course. What stands out most isn’t any single lighting or editing technique—it’s the depth of experience behind the instruction. Charlie seems to have encountered virtually every lighting and photography problem you can run into on a real-world shoot, and he doesn’t just tell you what settings to use. He shows you how to recognize the problem, understand what is causing it, and then gives you practical ways to solve it. His instruction on masks has been equally valuable. Charlie provides example after example of how masks can be used to make precise, localized corrections, and seeing them applied to so many different real-world situations has helped the concept finally click for me. His flash instruction is excellent as well. I’m learning what each technique accomplishes and adding another solution to my toolbox. The biggest thing I’m taking away from the course is a different way of looking at a scene: recognize the problem before pressing the shutter, understand what is causing it, and then choose the most appropriate and efficient solution—whether that means changing something in the room, using flash, making another exposure, or correcting a specific area with a mask. You can learn camera settings anywhere. What is much harder to acquire is the judgment that comes from years of encountering different situations and solving them. Charlie shares that experience throughout this course, and for me, that has been its greatest value.

Looking for more actual shooting rather than lighting equipment...I'm a Realtor looking to improve photo's without spending money on lighting equipment.....

Thank you for this course. It taught me how to see architectural photography and truly understand it. I now have a much better sense of light, composition, and space. I also feel confident editing photos in Lightroom, which was important for me. What was missing was a section on shooting with an iPhone and the tools that go with it. Modern iPhones can compete with many cameras, but I did not find a clear answer on what type of additional lighting should be used specifically for iPhone photography. What there was too much of was Photoshop. Thank you for the course

I personally think that this is a very good course. I think you will need an understanding of photoshop, but if your not sure how photoshop can help, this explains it. I used to teach people how to pack parachutes, but just like anything else, it takes practice and application to learn something. I saw some reviews where people are not too happy with the course, but for what your paying, it’s still worth it at ten times the price. Because, for $12, if you learn from not one thing from this,course,,it is WELL WORTH THE PRICE!!! I can’t wait to get to more courses from Charlie. I also sent him a couple of questions and he got back within 24 hours. Please tell me where you can get that for 12$. If he reached out to answer one question, that alone is also worth the price of the course. GREAT JOB CHARLIE BORLAND!!! Keep up the great work

This course really deserves 5 stars, and the small flaws described in the previous comments will not make me lower my rating. If like me, English is not your mother tongue, you should know that Charlie speaks smoothly and is very understandable, which allows the automatic generation of English subtitles to be of good quality. A lot of instructors forget that aspect, but not Charlie! The slight frustration I felt was that sometimes I would have liked to be able to make corrections in Photoshop on the same images as Charlie and that could have been provided as downloadable resources.

Obviously very experienced photographer. Some sections were slow in earlier lessons (too much talk about general stuff) and then got a little too quick. I know it is hard to set a pace that suits everyone (I was a teacher for 40 years!). I was hoping to get more on the use of Lightroom rather than Photoshop as I don't use the latter often as it is too difficult. What was presented about Photoshop was great. I enjoyed the course but will need to go over it many times before it sinks in. Thanks. Worth the money! Added later... now that I have completed several other PS courses I now understand a lot more. This will help enhance pro photographers strengthen their skills, also this course will provide a good building blocks for beginner, hobbyist photographers. What is even great about this course is that it provided me with good transferable skills that all can apply to all genre of photography. I found this course to be very good at strengthening your skills as a photographer. I found this course to have helped me focus on a specific part of photography and that is: Internal and Architecture photography. This is well worth the time, money and patience to watch and learn from Charlie Borland. Good job!

I'm halfway thru when writing this and I've found it hugely comprehensive and informative. I'm at the very start of my interest in Real Estate photography and the only reason I've not given this 5 stars is really because I perhaps should have started with more of a beginners guide, rather than this course. There are many technical terms that seem to be assumed as understood, which may be the case with photographic enthusiasts and professionals. Nevertheless, I would totally recommend this course for the fullness of its content and the ease in which Borland explains the subject. I would look for more of his work in the future.

I worked as a photographer + darkroom for 20 years and needed to transition to digital photography. This course has covered everything - working with the customer, camera use, interior / exterior lighting, equipment, photoshop, camera raw, photomatix, creative solutions, photography workflow, pricing, time management - and dozens of real-life examples to work through. If you work offline practicing Charlie's photoshop techniques, you will be ready for about any photography challenge. I couldn't have learned this much in a full-year photography course. Outstanding....

I'm enjoying all the knowledge im getting from it. I just don't give 5 stars because I was expecting something more modern, up to date. The photoshop in this course seems old version even thought all the methods can be applyed independently of the adobe version. Furthermore, some of the houses seems too old . Some of the design concepts are not the same anymore. Besides that, I agree with most of the techiniques still usable, the autor seems very, very professional and knows about the topics by heart. For the author I must to say, he desarve 10 stars.
