Jannis Seemann
My name is Jannis Seemann, and I'm deeply passionate about programming. My dream is to share this passion with one million other students.
I began crafting my first website at the age of 14. By 18, I landed my first internship at Google in London. Two years later, while pursuing my degree, I secured another internship with Google, this time in Silicon Valley (Mountain View, California).
One of my greatest joys is learning something new, especially with guidance from my mentors. This love for learning inspired me to start teaching during my computer science studies.
I fully understand the challenges and the time it takes to immerse oneself in a new subject, whether it's for a personal project, academic pursuits, or professional work. That's why I pour so much dedication into my courses, offering numerous exercises and real-world examples to make the learning process smoother.
Today, I take immense pride in knowing that over 300,000 students have enrolled in my courses. I hope I've been able to impart to them the same enthusiasm and joy I feel when creating these courses.
Beyond Udemy, with my background in computer science and as an independent entrepreneur, I successfully carry out web projects for clients. I'm also keen on sharing my expertise and experiences through the online courses I offer.

I am just about 10 percent in, and I am getting most of the lessons I need for my cybersecurity training. Anytime I go through Cybersecurity training now, the Linux section is usually very familiar that I omit it. I hope to learn all I need about server administration using Linux, the RedHeart and the Debian.

I'm not even halfway through the course but I can safely say that this is the best course I followed on Udemy so far. I was already familiar with a lot of the topics but the course explains them in such detail that completely changed my understanding of them. This is exactly what I expect from a course that I pay for as opposed to a tutarial that usually only tells you HOW to do something without explaining WHY it works (or doesn't work)

Personally, I would have avoided mixing information about Linux and Mac because it could be confusing for beginners.

The course takes from basic to advance level and talks deeply one thing could be done would be to also add a video lecture in which students can know how to create a Ubuntu GUI using WSL inside windows so even without a really good computer students can work with linux finely work with linux without any additional resources I think that would be great replacement for an entire VM and will work fine

Ein sehr umfassender Einblick in Ubuntu und gut geeignet für Anwender, die neben Windows einmal ein weiteres OS kennenlernen wollen.

Such comprehensive content. The effort that goes into this course deserves more than 5 stars. At first, I thought this course might be overkill, but the instructor always clarifies which section is needed based on your needs, and you can easily skip them if you do not need them. After all, I could not skip even one section, even though I did not need to :) Highly recommended!

Excellent course with an excellent instructor. Walks through it all at a decent pace that doesn't feel artificially slow but that includes all of the context that helps the tools presented make sense when attempting to use them yourself later.

The course is really good. Pro 1. The course is good. 2. The instructor/team answered the doubt when arises. 3. It contain in-depth knowledge. 4. The course is worth the money. Con 1. The course is lengthy since it covers lot of topics in Linux and in addition bash and fundamentals of bash. So I don’t really call it con PS: Janniss(instructor) it would be great if you could release your cyber security/ethical hacking course in English as well :) .
