Course Description
This is a hands-on, practical course designed to help you leverage Copilot in Excel to solve real-world problems across a variety of common scenarios and workflows.
We’ll start with the basics: what Copilot is, how it integrates with Excel, and how it's evolved since it first launched. I’ll then show you the two main ways you can use Copilot in Excel, and talk about the main limitations you need to be aware of.
From there, we’ll cover best practices for using Copilot effectively. You'll learn how to choose the right model for each task, how to manage and undo changes to protect your work, and how to leverage foundational Excel skills to validate Copilot's outputs.
Last but not least, we’ll put this all into practice across five common use cases: cleaning messy data, auditing workbooks for errors, creating spreadsheets from scratch, analyzing data to surface insights, and building dashboards to communicate results. Each use case is built around a real dataset and a real business scenario, and we’ll use strategic thinking and prompt engineering best practices to get the exact results we’re looking for, all while Copilot takes care of the technical grunt work.

This course is not interactive, there should be some tasks that learner can perform. By performing parallelly the learner will make mistakes and take the help of videos to solve the queries.

The course is well-paced, the instructor explains concepts clearly, and it is a very useful introduction to using Copilot with Excel. The final lesson provides links to other courses offered by Maven which I think I'll be taking a look at. Thank you.

Certainly got the main points across and was useful. I would have liked to see a few more examples exploring the different types of work copilot could be used to assist.

Instructor is extraordinary. He is incredibly clear, well-spoken, and presents exactly the most important concepts cleanly and quickly. The examples are excellent, perfect for each topic. In short, he is a master trainer, and it is an absolute pleasure to learn from him. Oh, and I've been a trainer for almost 30 years, so that's saying a lot coming from me. This is an incredible course!

I like the way you presented it step by step. If there may be any hallucinations, we need to review them in a new sheet and approve the final version.

Nice course for someone who needs a idea on how to use co-pilot for excel data analysis, the course explained basic usage of copilot very nicely but it was simple to understand anyways. the instructor rushed the main part of course which was advance data analysis, and python. but I some how managed so it's okay
By Carlos David Flores on 3/5/2026
nice course, but as AI improves very quick some of the functions are quite obsolete, anyway this was very helpful to reinforce my knowledge
By Nilesh badgujar on 12/25/2025
Excellent as always Maven Analytics! I was hoping to see some of web Copilot use since not everyone have copilot embedded within MS Excel. Also, list of all the used prompts and some additional useful prompts could have been a good take-a-way!
