Course Description

A warm welcome to the Microsoft Excel course by Uplatz.

Microsoft Excel is a software developed by Microsoft that allows users to enter, organize, format and analyze data using a spreadsheet system. Excel is a part of Microsoft Office suite and is compatible with other applications within the Office suite.

Excel is most commonly used for storing, organizing, and manipulating data along with visualization of data in the form of charts and graphs. Excel is popularly used across all industries, domains, academic institutions, businesses, and for accomplishing personal tasks such as managing home budget and financial analysis.

Excel features the ability to perform basic to advanced calculations, use graphing tools, create pivot tables and create macros. It essentially uses a collection of cells arranged into rows and columns to organize and manipulate data. This information can then be displayed as charts, histograms and line graphs.

Why Should I Learn Microsoft Excel?

We all deal with numbers in one way or the other. We all have daily expenses which we pay for from the monthly income that we earn. Educational and government institutions need to maintain a whole lot of data about people, cities, planning work, tenders, contracts, and so on.

Microsoft Excel comes in handy when we want to record, analyze and store such numeric or textual data.

Where can I get Microsoft Excel?

There are number of ways in which you can get Microsoft Excel. You can buy it from a computer software shop or download it directly from the Microsoft website along with purchase of a valid license key for Microsoft Office / Office 365. The lectures were a bit monotonous...but the content is great, and each concept was explained in detail.

By Keegan O'Loughlin on 11/30/2025

Very knowledgeable but not sure where to find any excel sheets offered by this course to follow along with.

By Lauren DiPeppe on 7/1/2024

audio quality and lecturer accent makes comprehension somewhat difficult. text transcript is also not accurate. very comprehensive and good refresher course (not for beginners with computers).

By Anchal Bhawsar on 5/18/2024

Thankyou! I'm very satisfied now and also I'm feeling confident that I have proper knowledge of excel that can add value to my CV and also it will help me in performing various jobs related to data handling.

By JP Ped on 2/16/2024

Decided to take a shot in learning the fundamentals in excel and this course surely made it easy for me.

By Anna-Maria Berey on 12/11/2023

A very explicit course; I didn't think that so many things can be done in Excel, but in the 20th lesson, when he gets to explain what he's doing, those arrows from Chat Elements are not visible; and I also rely on what I see to be able to understand something.

By Lilly Dakouris on 5/9/2023

Begins VERY slowly and not very animated but then becomes more animated with the more complicated procedures. Very detailed examples/ guidance/walkthroughs!

By B. Grace Allen on 11/11/2022

Instructor was difficult to understand

By s sunil on 4/19/2020

its good to learn basics of excel much more it could have done if it is more practical with different data taken for example

By Panagiotis Papapanagiotou on 2/12/2020

I would not say that at this advanced level, everything goes very smoothly. It gives a lot of emphasis to the charts without needing, and it is done boring. I would like to give a lot of time and emphasis to the formulas, mainly statistics and mathematics.
