I am an IT Trainer with over 15 years experience in delivering training in both Apple and Microsoft to a large array of clients, in both public training centres and corporate environments.
I have an IT teaching diploma and focus mainly on software training. I hold a current Microsoft Office Master certificate and have been teaching Microsoft Office Specialist (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Outlook all to an advanced level) for the past 10 years.
The training I deliver ranges from iPad and iPhone training to Office productivity applications like Pages, Numbers and Keynote. I also train in video editing software like Final Cut Pro X and iMovie.
I feel the most important part of training is developing a connection with your students, building trust in both sides.

This is a great match for me. I have close to zero knowledge of computers and I'm looking to expand into working on computers as I approach retirement. Collin is just what I need, direct and to the point, no suprifalis talking. Just the facts I'm in search of.

I have learned so much of the basics that I feel comfortable to do a presentation using PowerPoint and some basic animations, which is most times all I need.

This short course was perfect for my needs. It’s all about Powerpoint on a Mac and hits all of the categories I wanted to review: transitions, animations; master slides. It is not extremely in-depth, but it will give you a good running start and well worth the price.

I really like that this course is meant for Mac users. Seeing Mac commands and app layout is helping me to follow the instructions better.

I am absolutely new to learning PowerPoint. Colin had great starter tips as well as a coordinated sequence of steps to achieve a thorough and masterful presentation.

Expected more from the course. It was mostly focused on the basics. Good for a beginner but not good for someone who already knows how to do stuff in PPT.

So far, it's been very easy to understand. I'm only halfway, and I feel like I can do a basic presentation and I understand so much more than when I tried to learn how to use PP myself.

very good course for beginner PP users without any prior experience. I had some prior experience from a decade ago, and this was a very accessible refresher course for me, I certainly feel more confident moving forward now with my next presentation. I will likely take a more advanced course in the future, but this provides a good foundation.

Well described and good examples. Would have liked some more resources to work with, like Colin had in the EXCEL course. Practice makes perfect!

This is an excellent course for beginners, which I am. I am confident that I can build a good looking presentation simply based on what I have learned. I am sure there is more to learn, but this is enough for me and I think for most people to get the job done. I took off half a star because the instructor is a little wordy, but he still does a great job in presenting the material.
