Truly, this was excellent. My only complaint is that the final stretch of the course had some repetition of things that didn't need to be repeated and more focus on working with pictures than video - I would have liked more video work. But Colin is really awesome - an excellent teacher and I would be happy to learn from him again.

Course covered every single aspect in iMovie. I am very happy with this short course. The course teaches you how to use all the features and tools of iMovie. There are some tips along the way, but the course does not focus on creating a compelling video, just using the features.

This course gave me what i need to know to create simple videos with a sound track. That's what I wanted and expected. The only drawback, and this seems to be true of most courses, is that the instructions for reversing an action were sometimes unclear, such as removing files from the library. I figured it out, but there is probably a simpler way.

This course is right on point, singularly focused on learning the basics of iMovie and a strong base can lead to really creative videos. I will recommend it to everyone who has Mac. Without even spending a penny, you can make videos for free, because our Mac is there. Love and Peace

As a former Special and General Education elementary and college level educator, I compliment Colin Marks on the structure, pace, and quality of information provided in this course. Structure: The lessons were broken down into digestible chunks that does not overwhelm participants. Pace: The lessons were engaging and easy to follow. Information: Each lesson had a wealth of information. Each of these aspects kept me engage. I consider myself and a borderline advanced Excel user. However, I learned a few new concepts that were covered at the “Basic” and “Intermediate” levels. These lessons met the participant at their skill set. One question: Can I change the default iMovie location from my MacBook to a network drive? I have scoured the web to see if this is possible but no luck.

Hello Sir ! Thanks for lovely lecture . I am Hassan ( Marine engineer in merchant navy) starting my own travel vlog channel. I have Go pro hero9 black. Could you please guide which editing software you are using? Also, are you shooting in 1080 or 4k. I am learning IMOVIE on macbook pro. When I am shooting 4k movie on camera its cool but once i put in my laptop it starts getting stuck. Any reason for that?. My laptop is macbook retina late 2012 ( 8GB ram 2.5 Ghz core i5) . Please also let me know also which website you are using for songs which are copyright free?

perhaps things have changed with the 2020 version of iMovie but I could not hold down the R key and get a range of clip from my movie

Took me a while to get used to his accent but otherwise its been an eye-opening experience. Highly recommended for newbies and experienced users alike. Thank you very much Colin.

This class is an excellent choice for a person wanting to learn to use the IMovie program. Although I am only about halfway through the course, I already feel that I can use the program to produce home movies. I am looking forward to continuing this class.
