Paul Hill's course is a short, hands-on tour of Windows Server 2016 for people starting from zero. It runs 72 lectures and about 6.7 hours. You build a VirtualBox lab, install the server, set up a domain controller, then work through DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, WSUS and backups. Hill is a working network administrator, and the syllabus reads like a first week on the job. It is a survey, not a deep dive, and one reviewer says it falls well short of what a certification exam needs.

Reviewers like the teaching. They call Hill's voice clear and the explanations easy to follow, and several say it gave them enough detail to start on everyday admin tasks. The complaints are consistent too. The software has moved on since the last update in September 2020, so screens do not always match. Some reviewers say the videos were recorded in more than one version and stitched together, so servers appear without explanation and IP addresses change mid-lesson. Others want more on Group Policy, find the advanced parts fast, and say their questions got no reply.

I set up my VM which was 6.4.1 and was a bit different than the class version, downloaded the microsoft eval iso that was needed. I set up the VM per the instructor, tried to install windows and it would fail every time. Not going to waste any more time on this.
