I've used Word for years and I'm learning so much I didn't know about it. Good information well presented but I think it would be helpful for learning to have exercises. This ensures you follow the steps and alerts you if you aren't doing it right.

it is informative. i have learned new features and how to use them. i have been using microsoft word for so long but have known the techniques I have learned in this course. I still have long way to go though.

I have learned a tremendous amount of information. I have worked with Microsoft Word for years, but I am self-taught so I have missed some critical information over the years. I highly recommend this class. Excellent course!!

This course provides an in depth overview of most Microsoft Word features. Successful completion of the course should provide the user with enough knowledge to complete most word processing tasks.

The instructor was dealing with a Beta version and did explain the limitations of the Version, which was helpful just as much as learning the capabilities. I was able to skip the sections I knew, and review sections I needed to clarify and make notes on the differences between 2007 and 2010. It's very basic information up to the intermediate level, so there's no inclusion of troubleshooting or fixing someone else's work (but most experts I've read say to clear everything and start over), but it's easy to understand and follow, and with a little practice anyone can fly through Word 2010 looking like a pro.

I am taking several different course and when you compare the style of this instructor as compare to the others he really makes it easy to do the course. I wish he had done the other office programs I purchased

The course was very well taught. It was logically organized and the examples provided showed how different features were used. The instructor provided useful information on the practical aspects of the different features. I would recommend the course to others. I did have a few difficulties with running the course with the internet explorer browser, however the help section provided information on how to resolve the issue or work around it. I wish that the materials would have contained information about the total time needed for the course. I was not aware that it was as long as it was and have been sitting here over the weekend trying to cram in two courses before the December 11 expiration of my Amazon coupon. It would also have been useful to have some instruction on viewing tips. I didn't see the note taking option until about 1/2 way through. I've taken other instructor led classroom courses of word, but I msut say that this is one of the most comprehensive. Are there any manuals that can be downloaded for this course?

The course is a "data dump". It does not include any interaction with the user or a chance to practice what you are learning. There is no opportunity for remediation if a user does not understand the concepts or the actions that need to be taken to complete a task. The course is a combination of all levels and is not conducive for a student to first learn beginner information and then progress accordingly.

This presentation is extremely well done. I went through the whole series in just a few sessions. While this was quite a lot of information, and I am sure I haven't retained half of it, I found it easy to comprehend. Tim is very easy to follow, and his organization of the material is spot on. I plan to revisit sections as I need them. So many bits and pieces are going to really help me in day to day use of Word.
