Course Description

Using third-party tools to perform Exchange-to-O365 migrations can be extremely costly, especially for small businesses with very little IT budget.  Using the FREE native tools that Microsoft provides vastly reduces hard costs, but using them can be confusing.  As such, I've authored this outstanding course on migrating email from on-premises Exchange to Office 365 using Microsoft's native tools.

In this course, the student will learn how to prepare for (and perform) a cut-over migration from an on-premises Microsoft Exchange 2010 server to Office 365 / Exchange Online.

Topics covered include:

  • Setup of the O365 Tenant Account
  • Verifying Domain Ownership
  • Preparing Active Directory for the Migration
  • Preparing the On-Premises Exchange Org for Migration
  • Connecting O365 to Your Exchange Email System
  • Migrating Mailboxes to O365
  • Performing the Cutover to O365
  • Re-Routing Email to Office 365
  • Assigning Licenses to O365 Users
  • Post-Migration Tasks & Cleanup
  • Migrating Public Folders to O365
  • Configuring Azure AD Connect to Sync AD to O365
  • Decommissioning the On-Premises Exchange Server

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to successfully plan, prepare for, and perform a cut-over migration from Exchange 2010 to Office 365 using the native tools that Microsoft provides.

I work for a MSP and started doing email migrations for different clients. This course is SPOT ON and covers everything you need to know to migrate On-Prem Exchange to Office365. You are not going to find another tutorial like this anywhere that takes you through every step of the process. Do yourself a favor and get this course!

I have gone from having no knowledge of how to do a migration to understanding the key factors involved and how to complete the process from start to finish. I needed to know this for a new role that I have landed. Thank you for doing this course and explaining things in detail.

Pretty nice course, but still need to practice on it. I am not really understand. Instead of note, I suggest to put these in PDF folder. Words are too small for some people to see, especially for those who had eye surgery.

This course is amazing really amazing, I am really enjoying it. Few issues with videos, 2 of them from Section 10 (21 and 22 ) are extremely blurry, impossible to see anything its very bad, eyes killing, something you may need to check out urgently. I will need to understand a bit more DNS Record and Public Folders, apart from that, every else was so clear and well explained. Thanks

this was a great course, I learned a lot about it Migration to office 365, especially migration the public folders to Office 365. the instructor even walked extra miles to explain some possible issue you might have. well explained and the resources are very helpful. I hope you would make another course for Intune and Azure as well.

By Leon Walters on 6/28/2019

Personally, I would need to walk thorough this presentation several times. The course needs to be updated regarding a decision to Decommissioning or maintain an on-premises footprint. Otherwise, the content is not relevant for 2019.

I would like to recommend this course value more than thousand dollars. Good job he’s doing about office 365 migration but please explain much more about exchange Sid of thing such as how to configure autodiscovery thing and also in certificate adding and also owa configurations much more about.

Tom is a fine instructor. He did a masterful job, explaining the course material in an easy to comprehend manner. The only thing I found problematic was the screen resolution he used - probably had no choice as there was a need to show a ton of stuff . Maybe zoom in a tad to better see the text on his screen. Fine job, fine course. Thank you

Would be good to know the overall status after each video to know how much more is remaining. Good narration, voice is clear with a fair amount of detail. Sessions are structured well. videos are the right length to keep attention (5-10 min long).
