It is clear that this course was created for an earlier version of Musescore. Although the concepts are the same, the interface is quite different. Still useful but it would be better to redo the course or make it clear that it is out of date.

I'm delighted with this course. Having struggled to get the hang of Musescore on my own, Martin's clear explanations made it really easy. Everything is covered in enough depth without being overwhelming. I'm now much more confident in using Musescore. Thank you, Martin!

Great course with many details and tweaks. The teacher clearly has good experience with the software. I'd just suggest to add a document to each video with downloadable text with the shortcuts.

Very useful and detailed information. The instructor explains the functions extremely well. He is knowledgeable and has the ability to transfer the information. I took this course because it was taught by this instructor. He presents things thoroughly.

This course has been very helpful to me right now. I am studying Music Theory and have started using MuseScore. Your course has helped me to get a very good understanding of MuseScore in a very short time. Well presented, in an easy, understandable format. Much appreciated.

So, this course was my first experience with Udemy. First I would like to point out a couple things that may be convenient for someone thinking about buying this course: MuseScore is now in its third version and it had some changes in regards of its interface that may have moved a function described in this course to another tab or Menu (or to a different keyboard shortcut, even) - however, those functions are the still same, so the course is still not overdated. Another thing is that Martin (the instructor) goes back and forth through-out the lessons in a way that may also feel a little slow-passed for more experienced computer users or proeficient music readers - though I really enjoyed this method of teaching as it's really inclusive for people who doesn't get along with technology very well - or just beginners in general. To summarize it, I'm really happy for having take this course. As I am a self-learning musician and sound engineer, I took the opportunity to not only learn how to get 100% out of MuseScore but to learn a lot about music notation in general. I super recommend it for whoever is interessed in buying this course!

This course has shown me what I need to know in order to use MuseScore to create professional looking, easily stored and retrievable music scores that I can both use for myself and share with others. Explanations are clear and very understandable with just the right amount of examples to go along with the points Mr. Cohen is working to get across to his students. I would recommend this course to any and all who write and/or arrange music and need a way to create legible, professional quality scores and desire to have an excellent, dependable way to preserve their work. Great course!

Over the years I have taken many online courses. Most of them have been ho-hum, very average in nature. Some have been outstanding; one or two have been terrible. I am now about 1/3 of the way through this class and I consider it the best online course I have ever taken. Thus far it certainly exceeds my expectations.

Thank you, this is really clear and helpful. I've downloaded Musescore to type worksheets etc. for teaching. I'm using it for the first time today and I dived in to do a transcription. I just looked up and watched the relevant sections as needed and was able to finish my little exercise fairly easily. Great course!

I haven't finished the course yet. I think Udemy should change the policy of asking for a course rating until after the student has finished the course. I have bee asked to rate courses after the first lesson...no one could possibly know what a rating should be after just one lesson. Hey Martin, I did wait. I'm on lesson 25...you did a great job with this course. I've been trying to learn Muse for some time now and finally found your course. It has be a great help.
