For me, this is the better FL-Studio-Course here on Udemy. The english courses are better, because when other teachers show FL-Studio they made it good until they are going into the detail - they make some mistakes, which is not bad, but they are starting then to joking around. This course is better because it is straight on point. I'm only at the end of the introduction-section, but i learned here more compared to others. The Instructions are much clearer and this is probably the very first Course i learned lot more about music theory and understanding the Keys of the midi-keyboard. I highly recommend this course for everyone who is starting with FL-Studio and Music-Production.

I should have done more research. I don't own Serum and version 2 is now out at a steeper price point. I own lots of other soft synths. So I'll see how this goes and how vital it is to own Serum to complete this course.

im writing this review at the end of the course, it's a great course where i have learned a lot from this course. from workflow, to arrangement, mixing, editing vocals you name it. Also is Chris very straight forward, simple and understanding how he explains things and why he is doing what he does. after this course i have been able to make my own edm/house tracks RECOMMENDED!

I have left reviewing this course until I completed it but I am really glad I did. This is a fantastic course that is paced really well. The delivery and quality of the instruction are top notch. The tracks that you make throughout the course are awesome and you can tell that the instructor has spent a lot of time on these. I only have some slight niggles/suggestions, it would have been nice to have a list of plugins that needed to be installed before starting the tracks, on the few occasions that additional ones were needed it took you away from the project and kinda knocked the flow of the lesson. The music theory section is great but an updated PDF would have been nice to compliment the lessons. Even with those slight gripes I am still reviewing this course 5 stars, I had looked at a couple of other courses on Udemy and I am glad I settled on this one. I am now going to begin the daunting task of creating my own tracks but I feel confident the skills I haven't learnt in the course will help me get there.

Hi Chris, Thanks for such a great course content. Instructions are so clear and it was really fun to follow the whole process of creating the tracks. As the course progresses for the different projects / tracks, love the fact that you introduce new techniques and concepts. Thanks a lot. All the best to you as well and would like to end my review just the way you do....Cool!!! Regards, Naseer

-- so far, engaging and enjoying -- half done and have learned so much. Regards to Mr. Chris Smith on developing a top-notch course. I expect the last half will be no less informative and equally fun to learn. I sincerely hope Mr. Smith has other courses in mind because I will signup in an instant if such is the case. Please let us know because I know many more students feel the same.

Absolutely the best class I've taken on Udemy--in any subject. The instructor is very clear (the voice is in no way irritating over several hours, which matters far more than people realize) and extremely knowledgeable. The songs he creates sound like actual songs you'd hear from major artists on Apple Music, so you're truly learning how to compose serious, marketable music. Also, at first I thought I wouldn't like his workflow, which pretty much ignores the channel rack altogether. However, very quickly I found that I actually PREFER his workflow over the typically-taught FL workflow. It's more linear and less loop-centric (which, to me, always felt chaotic), reminding me more of Logic Pro's workflow. And I love it. It's my workflow going forward. Simply outstanding. This is a talented instructor. And this course is valuable to anyone wanting to seriously learn FL and the actual structure/processes of composing electronic music.

Good explanations in the right tempo for learning. I've seen a lot of tutorials on Youtube, but this is so far on another level! Update after completing 50% of the course: My big problem with FL Studio has been grasping the logic in the workflow, with the channel rack and loops and everything. No tutorials have given me this - until now! And believe me - I've tried A LOT! Fantastic! FL Studio has gone from being a huge headache to pure joy! Big thanks to Christopher Smith for a fantastic job!
