Content and Overview
This course is ideal for beginner, adult students and intermediate guitarists. I’ve thoughtfully prepared 37 clear, concise lectures. Each section explains a specific element in music by focusing on music theory and ear training - in the context of the guitar. This course focuses on useful topics that will teach you a holistic approach to music (including ear training). You’ll begin with in-depth lectures that cover all of the essential information about harmony and melody that you'll ever need. Many lectures include hands-on activities and exercises designed to apply the skills you'll be learning.
Throughout this course, you’ll discover the power of your intellect to learn new material, while also leveraging the flexibility of your intuition to understand concepts like groove, tension and resolution.
The later sections of the course explain Rhythm, The Blues and Ear Training. You’ll learn how to play guitar, following chord diagrams, guitar tab and music notation. You’ll understand why and how hit songs often contain the same chords. You’ll also learn how to use your ears to learn new music quickly and accurately.
As a performing musician and private instructor with over 12 years of professional experience, my methods not only explain how music fundamentals work logically, but also demonstrate the interconnected relationships that are essential to understand if you want to play music by ear and from the heart.

Of course all of this knowledge can be found on the internet for free, but it will hardly be put and arranged in such an instructive and didactic way, as it is on the course. For all my fellows musicians, it is worth it to invest some money on courses. They save a lot of our energy. This is a solid course! highly recommend it for all levels.

I am learning classical guitar but found a lot of the course content really useful even though it is aimed at a different style. The info on how chords relate to keys was really helpful.

It's okay for an essentials course. I think it's possibly trying to cover too many aspects too thinly. The instructor is very good, but it might be better find specific courses for things you want to learn (e.g. just guitar technique or just music theory, or just ear training). I feel like picked up a few useful things, but the knowledge practically of them doesn't feel substantial enough to progress my own skills without more information.

Really enjoyed the course. I consider myself an intermediate guitarist but ive been learning on my own and was feeling lost. This course really did helped me refresh and gave me a better understanding of music theory as well as providing usefull training regimes.

Great course for beginners exploring how to intuitively think about music and "speak the language" of sorts.

He is a good teacher and I have been improving my playing skills and confidence. He gives the tools you need to succeed the rest is up to you with how much you time and effort you put into practicing!

Judging only by the video content, I think this class is a great toolkit to keep handy and to get a grasp of what's there to be learned. I do not think that this course would be a guitar 101 for beginners, but rather a good benchmark and a list of milestones that help a beginner develop their curriculum if they are self-taught.. Will give this review another look in a few months when i reference this back

I have played guitar for years. Played professionally when I was younger, but have never had any formal training of lessons. I thought that this was a great refresher. I liked the format. Much more of a lecture than a hands on, watch what I do and repeat. This should have lasting value, and I really appreciated your thoughts on what makes good practice.

There is a lot here, and I am a guitar player who has been away from reading music for a long time, and I can picture myself having to go over this a few times, but I think I`ll get there.

This is the second course I took from Will, and I'll be back for others. Will's lessons are well constructed, to make sure the student has no trouble following. He introduces the topic, defines where we are going, explains the topic, and recaps it. Everything is sequenced well, and well-paced. His "homework" assignments are challenging, but a great way to learn what I need to know. I learned a lot about music theory from this course. Before, I thought I just had to learn some chords, but this course tells me how to create music, and also how to recreate music I have heard.
