The professor has a simplified methodology and provided all the information needed to implement a Data Guard system. My suggestion is to make his practical scripts downloadable for both the prod and dr.

This is a good course and I have been able to configure a physical standby virtual machine. I have also been able to understand much better my DBA's dataguard procedures. I took one star off because there seems to be a prior course from which some of this course's setup is dependent on and that created some confusion plus the material does not cover how to convert the standby database to the production database in the event that the production server fails.

The video and the experience of the instructor are very excellent. However, the materials seem incomplete to follow without watching the video. More importantly the material for the course required prior experience of how to deploy a Data Guard Physical Standby.

This course is good for those who want to know what Data Guard is and how it works. I thought the instructor was knowledgeable and presented the material in a straight forward way. I especially like the way the instructor demonstrated the different types of Data Guard and how to configure them.

Great tutorial. While watching the demo, I'm also creating my DG configuration. And it worked :) Looking for advance tutorial for dataguard. Thank you. Edit: Why we did not used dataguard broker? Can we use dataguard broker or dgmgrl to check configuration and do switch over?

WOW !! The instructor is amazing. He takes his time to explain terminologies that may be blurry to many. I like the reiterations that serves as "reminders" and drives the point home. I have bought other courses that attempts to teach this topic but they have not been this good. Pls. keep it up
