I teach IT professionals what I wish I'd known earlier.
My foundation is built on years in the trenches as an Agile Enterprise Software Developer, engineering solutions for everything from fast-paced start-ups and SMBs to large global corporations. I hold recognized roles as an AWS Community Builder, Postman Supernova, and GitLab Hero, alongside a deep history of securing and building major open-source projects.
For over a decade, I've taken that real-world experience and quietly built one of the largest learning communities around API tooling, test automation, and DevOps practices. What started as a side YouTube channel turned into hundreds of thousands of learners, conference talks, and team workshops at companies most IT professionals have heard of.
The thread through all of it is the same: take something that looks intimidating and break it down so anyone can understand it in plain language.
Lately, I've been spending more time on practical AI in the workplace. I look at how teams can leverage AI for both everyday knowledge work and hands-on IT engineering, like coding and testing. I focus on cutting through the hype to figure out how AI actually helps IT professionals get work done, build, and ship faster. New formats, same approach.

It started and ended very good/useful but no recommendations on what to skip or any way to shorten except jumping to end of videos as an experienced SWE (networking, basic programming) however new to performance testing and K6. I think the course is well modularized but it could be used to tailor of previous knowledge or the course could have a shorter version more on point. Recommend to any junior developer / tester or only selected parts for more experienced practitioneers.

This course helps me to understand the fundamentals of K6. I have experienced with K6 earlier and knowledge of JavaScript. So, this course brush ed up my knowledge on K6 gave me more details on K6. Anyone looking to understand k6 for performance testing. You can check this course to undersatand it better. I have implemented k6 in two real world projects while studying this course and it helped me to see what I wants or ask my team to set the expected metrics of my real world projects. Only negative point for this course is it did not show a project framework using OOPs, also running in AWS/Azure pipeline but it has shown in a section how to run k6 tests through Jenkins pipeline to get an idea. Also, I want see more about browser testing and combining api tests too also some more set up as per industry level. As you learn and play more with k6, you will get better and better on performance testing. Recommendation: Go for it to understand the core of K6 and overall performance metrics and testing.

Why did I like the course designed by Valentin Despa? Because of his attention to detail and well-prepared animations combined with real-world analogies. This k6 Performance Testing course follows the same high standard. Inside the course, you will find: Clear explanations of basic Performance Testing concepts A practical introduction to the k6 API to build performance tests Guidance on designing API requests How to run tests in the Cloud How to integrate k6 into CI/CD pipelines Everything is explained step-by-step, with a strong practical focus — not just theory.

Each topic is planed carefully with detail explanation on each line of code. I can follow and reproduce all the code executions, very happy to lean in that way. The overall sections are split up smartly and logically, from easy to medium and hard. I am confident to join a real K6 project after this course. Thank Vespa so much

The course is well designed, with the contents organized in a meaningful way. It was easy to follow most of the time and there was good attention to detail in the explanations, including the custom animations and beginner-friendly explanations. The only caveat would be that some things are somewhat different now in newer versions of k6 or there were some changes on the site, but for any moderately-experienced dev, it wouldn't be hard to make the changes and tweaks where necessary. That said, it would help if at some point in the future the videos get updated to reflect the changes. I think that's inevitable with technologies being a moving target and things getting outdated over time. It is what it is. All in all, it was a really solid course on performance testing with k6. Totally recommended!

This course has truly exceeded my expectations. Valentin is an amazing teacher, and his visual teaching style and simplicity in which he explains the basic and more advanced concepts of k6, are truly something to behold. When I started this course, I knew nothing about k6 and concept of performance testing, and now I have a solid understanding of basics which I can build further upon. I will definitely be taking more courses from Valentin in the near future, and I recommend that you do it too.

I have skipped section 6 and 8 because I don't need them immediately. Besides that, the course is good. The lessons are small and usually explained well. Many exercises are provided to reinforce learning. Some downsides too. First, some lessons are not well organized and content seems out of logical order (e.g. the lesson on metrics & aggregation). You'll realize this when you make notes for each chapter like I did when I revisited the lessons a 2nd time. It took me more than 1 hour with a lot of back & forth to summarize a 11 minute lesson. I sometimes wonder if its better to write notes or slides before making a course so that an instructor can stick to a proper order. Second and final, there is only one small intro lesson to UI performance testing with k6. I wish the instructor would add a few more videos on UI or just make a separate course for it.

An amazing K6 beginner’s walkthrough presented by a highly skilled tutor. This is the second course from Valentin’s collection on which I’ve enrolled, fully completed whilst also enjoying the journey. The materials provided, as well as the structure of the lessons, are well thought-through and high in quality... also love the sketches and analogies :) Although the course is great, and most probably the best k6 one out there at this time, what would have made it exceptional, at least for me, would have been a small insight in POM design for this tool… maybe a few lessons to highlight some good practices on a simple example. Nevertheless, still a great pick if you want to get acquainted to k6!

The course materials were not only easy to understand but also impressively thorough in detailing the key concepts. Your deep dive into the subject matter, complemented by clear explanations and practical demonstrations, truly enhanced my understanding and engagement with the material. The quizzes were particularly helpful in reinforcing the content, ensuring that I could assess my understanding as I progressed through the modules. This structured approach, along with the insightful demos, made complex topics accessible and interesting. I am eagerly awaiting more advanced courses, particularly in K6, as your teaching style and the course format have greatly benefited my learning. Additionally, I would be interested in a course on Playwright. I believe your approach would lend itself well to covering this topic. Thank you for creating such a comprehensive course that strikes the perfect balance between depth and clarity. I look forward to applying what I've learned in practical scenarios and am eager to explore more of your courses in the future.

First of all, I like how Valentin explains things even the hardest topics don't seem so hard . Also, he provides a lot of useful details and links to sources if you need to dig deeper into the subject. And what I also like, it is the technical quality of the content, there are no noises or sudden volume changes in the course + Valentin has a great English which is easy to understand. Totally recommend this course! Valentin, if you will be replying to this updated comment, please include the word "lemon" into your answer :D
