Photography - The Nikon D3400 DSLR Camera user course (Udemy.com)

I've completed through lesson 10 and will be completing the other lessons. If this is your first Nikon DSLR, this is an awesome course. Each menu setting is described in detail. Jeremy is willing to provide recommendations on settings and the rationale behind his recommendations for settings. The course provides excellent detail on how the camera works in each of the automatic settings: how the aperture priority, speed priority and ISO properties will change and why as well as what processing may be going on in the background. This is new information for me and I've been working with the camera for several years. So I expect I will be learning new things about white balance and flash photography based on what I've learned so far. The one weak point on the series is the cursory treatment of the semi-automatic settings. I am familiar with the principles of aperture priority and speed priority photography from my days with a film camera (also a Nikon). However, I would have liked a more extended treatment of working with P mode and Manual mode. We did not see screen shots of making changes in manual mode or the how the light meter works to assist in determining parameters. Overall, I highly recommend this for new Nikon DSLR owners who want to know what each of those many settings and features does.

I received my Nikon D3500 last Christmas and really did not understand it properly but after your course, I feel a lot more confident and knowledgeable , thank you I loved the course, great presentation skills and I will use your platform for other training needs when required .

Unbelievable!!! This was wonderful - no, outstanding. The course was presented in a thorough, yet easily understandable manner. I now have a knowledge of what my camera can do and a basic knowledge of how to do it. The videos were well sequenced. The lectures and videos were presented in a clear, concise manner. I'm no longer afraid to use the manual or my Dummies book which were incomprehensible before. Also, thank you Ivy.

I found the instructor extremely knowledgeable. The Nikon 3400 has scores of button functions and hundreds of combinations for settings. I don't think he missed a single one. Practical lessons were incredibly helpful. I'd suggest more of them especially for more complex learning curves. Further, I suggest a few seconds of pause in serially selecting camera settings and functions. I lost view of which buttons and functions were actuated more than once. Overall, it's a great course for someone like me transitioning from not knowing any of my Nikon D3400 functions to being able to shoot better-than average photos and videos for fun and profit.

Very well put together video from start to finish!! and in the right order. Toss the user manual in the junk drawer and save yourself some time and headaches getting antiquated with all the functions. Jeremy will help you start to fall in love with your D3400

Just a question, if I don't want every picture going to smart phone, do you just turn ,off send to the smart device??The only criticism I have being an OLD man learning something new is/ When he says If we go in here , Say to change some setting where is here, search and you will find it sooner or later. Now during Snap bridge Other than that GREAT COURSE, he was GOOD at showing where he was on the back of the camera. That is why I bought MORE courses.

Jeremy Bayston was experienced articulate and presented a detailed course on Nikon D-3400. The user manual is helpful but NO match for this AWESOME speaker and operations of this camera. I think the firmware as of 1/2018 is fully operational and worked first time I installed and used SNAPBRIDGE. THE BEST! WonderDrones, Mike Patterson

This is an excellent course. I’m a relative newbie on DLSR’s and I found this course to be very useful. The course clearly explains several areas that I found confusing in the Nikon manual. After I get some experience with the D3400 I’ll watch several sections of this course again, and I’m sure I’ll have an even better feel of the D3400 modes. This course helped me far more than the manual did.

I purchased and started the course before the delivery of my camera. Jeremy made me feel as if I was already holding and using it! Very detailed descriptions and explanations, as well as very sound suggestions. I'm very confident that I will be able to master my D3400 (now that it's been delivered), thanks to Jeremy and this course.

Excellent detailed instructions. With all of my previous cameras my approach to photography was to leave the camera on auto and take the picture. Sure I knew there were other settings but I was afraid I was going to miss the shot so I left the camera on auto. After completing this course I now have a good understanding of the various types of settings I can adjust to have a great picture. I strongly recommend this course to anyone who has bought this Nikon D3400 camera.
