PLC Programming - Learn the basics with CoDeSys (Udemy.com)

The first theoretical lessons were good, I finally managed to grasp what a PLC is made of. However, when the CoDeSys part started, I felt a lack of organisation, the concepts where scatterred through the lessons in a way that I personally found confusing. Also, many errors and mistakes were made while writing the code; I am not here to state that errors are not to be made, though since these lessons are recorded, some video editing would have been much appreciated and would have reduced the amount of confusion that I felt.

Pretty straightforward for a technically experienced person like me who is also not a computer scientist.

Was a very good and thorough introduction course for CoDeSys with great hands-on exercises. Highly recommend anyone who wants to get started with CoDeSys, to consider taking this course.

This is the first time I learn about industrial automation. I am very grateful that there is such a high quality course at Udemy. The material is very easy to follow. The teacher is able to explain every concern clearly. For beginner, this is a confident start on learning PLC programming. I like the teacher showing different type of PLC languages in the exercise, so that I could compare why it may be better to use Structured Text , or Function Block in some cases. I think it is an excellent course which let me move to more advanced PLC programming. Thank you very much!

You will get your feets wet and you will want to have more! This course from Marco shows how to take the very first steps with CODESYS in a very easy and understandable manner. Marco also provides ready to run CODESYS-Projects (hands on examples and solutions). By the way, he don't explain this, but in his code you can get an idea about how to write very simple Visualizations. And even better, you can peep in his simulation code to understand how all that works together under the hood - awesome!

Good beginner course with intuitive exercises. I would have liked an extra section on how to write the simulation and make the visualizations used in the exercises towards the end. They can be simpler versions so we also create beginner level HMI and simulations. Also a quick example of implementing function blocks in structured text can be provided at the end instead of just FBDs.

He explains everything so well! He makes it easy for a beginner to understand every concept he covers. He covers each topic in great detail and the examples he gives are a great addition because they help visualize and understand the topic in depth.

I really enjoyed learning about CodeSys in the course. I also learned quite a few different programming methods that I can apply in other PLC programming languages. Thank you!

With a basic PLC knowledge it is a well structured and detailed introduction to ST, which actually ending up with something useful to work with.

I had a pleasant time taking the course. The course gave me insights I did not have before. The explanations and motivations are very clear. Some aditional practical scenario's for the same examples can be useful.

This course was a great intro to CoDeSys. Marco is a great instructor and is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to PLC programming in multiple languages. I was worried prior to taking the course that I may have an issue with Marco's accent or having a language barrier but that wasn't the case at all. If Marco didn't have an accent I would assume English was his first language. The only reason I didn't give 5/5 stars was because he didn't go over the graphical features of CoDeSys, even though it was a big portion of the course. Overall, great course!

Gives in-depth know-how of codesys. Very useful and informative course, a must if trying to learn ST language and to see the differences between the different types of languages on a PLC.
