PMP Math Prep - PMP Math and Formulas (Udemy.com)

The instructor is not consistent in how many decimal places he uses in the (1+i)^n calculation. For example, when he uses the calculator to determine the value (can't remember if it was a present or future value example), he only goes to two decimal places instead of three, which is more accurate. The values between the two vary by ~$4k.

Everything well explained... It is a useful and nice course that covers the "math" part of the preparation. You can start with this before moving on to the "main" reading of the PMP material. Once you practice and learn the formulas, the rest is simple understanding of the PMP process definitions. Pay a little more attention to section 3 and you'll be fine. The only negative (for me) from the whole course has to do with the intro and outro music between the videos. The frequency and choice of the particular audio is borderline annoying but that has nothing to do with the course content, which was otherwise very informative and easy to understand.

Inconsistent rounding. On one slide to 3 digits on the next 2 digits not applying the rules of rounding. Mixes up need of investment and return. He is talking about the one and on the slide it is shown the other.

I was making mistakes with calculations, this portion helped me identify my error and slow down to make sure I was getting it correct. I also assume that I shouldn't round up or use the % past the hundredth place value. For example use 1.191% instead of 1.191234 that would be left in the calculator.

It is amazing! I was decided to attend the PMP exam without reading the math formulas, and just skip the math questions, but now I will not! I enjoy this great course, don't hesitate to get this course, it is really worth it!

Joseph, I think you are great and with your support and motivation I cleared PMP in first attempt , though PMBOK is bible, your videos are nothing less if we pay full attention. Only suggestion is to include more question papers and more focused towards exam content. Yayyyyy I am PMP certified now, looking forward to more videos from you for my next goal!

Joe Phillips takes the time to break things down in laymen s' terms and make it easier to understand. This math course was THE BOMB!!!!!! Really helped me understand what i was struggling with. Not there YET, but helped immensely!!!!!!

The math (PV and FV) questions aren't real clear. I understand the math but if the questions were "as is" on the exam how can you choose between them. It's not clear whether the question on the exam, if it were the same, would have more information.

This is a must course for all PMP aspirants. It has all the math formulas that are required to learn. Though I completed the Exam Seminar, due to rushing, I did not do well on Math part of the course. This course gave me a greater understanding and enough opportunity to practice the formulas through Assignments. Thanks for the Excel sheet and other resources, which are very helpful as well. I became more confident with Math side of the exam. Thanks Joe for taking time and putting this course together. You are a Great Teacher!
