Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) (Udemy.com)

So far it’s all audio - there are no visuals (other than the transcript). So it’s not particularly engaging. It’s more like an audiobook (and perhaps should be advertised as such?). But the content is good and what he’s saying is on point.

I was tasked with creating a project management (PM) framework, and I knew absolutely nothing. I've been reading the PMI Standard and any other relevant materials I can find. This was due last week, so I might be jumping around, but I will go back and read through everything. Is there a course on creating a strategy and charter? I need that as well.

No visual resources... it´s only a guy speaking with transcripts. It´s hard to get focused... It´s similar to attending a videoconference which everybody´s cameras are switched off and someone is speaking without showing a thing.

First of all, thank you Mr. Sorin for putting together this course. The content is good, but the delivery was not up to par. Here are my observations: - Content was not clear / concise. Section 1 was good, but after that it was just repetition of the same thing. - Use of bullet points / diagrams to summarize content in each sub-section can help make the content clear. The sub-sections with diagrams were good to understand, the rest were just ramblings. For example, Guiding Principles was referred to in some sections, but what were the guiding principles? I had to google to figure it out and tie it to Mr. Sorin's slides. But the sub-section about Governance Guiding Principles had a diagram, so that was helpful. - Use of real-life examples. I was disappointed that there was no example included in this tutorial. For Example, the PMIS sub-section. Mr. Sorin could have shown which PMIS tool he has used / likes. He could have listed industry favorites .. not just a generic mention of ERP. Demonstrating what a project charter looks like, using a sample portfolio.. there are so many scenarios where examples could have been used to fortify the intent of the sub-sections. To summarize, this course has potential to be an awesome course if Mr. Sorin implements feedback listed above.

It was good, thorough. But a lot of common sense and i felt like it really kept repeating a lot of the same points. If we are making data driven decisions, it could have focused more on how we report to executive leadership on time, resource allocation, % of completion etc.. would have liked to see downloadable templates for those. Also to manage a lot of projects, devops or a other CRMs should also be integrated into this course since this is where the portfolio manager uses to get their measurements to report.

Amazing Descriptive Course !!! Trainer has given holistic view of what PFMP is really about in-fact, it covers more than what is mentioned in " The Standard for Portfolio Management".

Excellent cours. Goes above and beyond project portfolio management, covering corporate portfolio management. This high level process helps ensure projects, programs and portfolios are aligned with the overarching corporate strategy.

Falta de contenidos gráficos. Es un video plano, con una voz de fondo. Incluir gráficos amenizaría el seguimiento del curso. Quizá estos sí estén contemplados más adelante, ya que esto es una mera presentación del curso, y una introducción al tema a desarrollar.

I appreciated the instructor's passion for the subject, which made the course more enjoyable.
