Useful tips and nicely split lectures. It's like watching a programmer coding, using a lot of try and error, and explaining where to find solutions. While not a systematic course and somewhat, it's still informative and helps learn Blender scripting from scratch and actually build something.

Excelente course because he doing everything like a real day, with all the error and bugs, for me the best part of doing in this way that is he teaching me how I can do by myself now! Thanks!

The instructor gives some very useful information and techniques for procedural modeling, specifically performing edit mode operations with Python, and demonstrates methods for clean coding practices. This course was a really good match for me. I am very experienced with Python and Blender, but this course filled in some gaps in my knowledge of the modeling level functions when it comes to procedural generation and modification of objects using Python.

This course is a good course for intro to scripting in Blender. The Python API can be confusing and I did have a problem with updating the mesh during the creating a book section. Other than that everything worked as expected. I reached out to the instructor regarding the problem that I had with updating the mesh and he answered promptly and reviewed my code and found the error.

He failed to totally grasp what he wanted to accomplish and pass that along to the student. He does, however, manage to pass along some useful information. This is fine if you only wish to run assorted scripts, but if you wish to learn to make add-ons this is only a starting point at best. If you have no coding experience at all, this would be a good starting point.

Another great course by Simon. Explanation is solid, lighthearted and easy to pick up. Learned lots of new tricks and he explains how to keep the code clean. Please make more courses in the future.

This course is not for beginner who is going to learn about blender modeling. There is no explanation on so many things he talks about. Maybe useful for somebody who already knows the basics of how Blender works.

Loving the course so far. My understanding of code in general is a bit basic (I know more than the average bear but nothing advanced), but the instructor here makes it very clear on what they're doing with each line of code, and goes at a very even pace that's easy for me to keep up with while they're talking. Very excited to see more as I make it through the rest of the course =)

By Stuart Chandler on 10/23/2021

Very good for me, as it shows the basic possibilities of using scripts to create models. I would love to see a higher level if it's possible to script a suspension bridge.

By Gabriel Melendez on 10/14/2021

I picked up a few things but the teaching method is not very well structured or super in depth. It's watching somebody code in real time and explain some things as they go, mistakes and all. I like how we get to see the mistakes, because it shows how and where to find the answers.
