Prometheus | The Complete Hands-On for Monitoring & Alerting (Udemy.com)

Before i started thsi course i read the -ve reviews but now that i have finished the course, i can say 90% of the course is interesting (which is more than any tutor/presenter can do ) and the resources are very helpul. I would suggest to go through 1 or 2 youtube videos and spend 1-2 hours and come here. Am new to Prometheus and i did the same.. Thank you very much :)

Really enjoyed the course. I wanted to use it with Docker and Kubernetes, so I used the information to add the stuff into my own kubernetes cluster. This effort really helped me understand the source material, whereas if the docker and K8s stuff was included then I'd just be typing that in - instead of actually building stuff myself.

what a great course this one is, i have learned a tons of stuff about prometheus and how to use it, this is really one of the courses out there that get you both hands on lab + the right visualization that you may need, the only problem i found in the course is that the teacher does not response to any questions and it would be good to have another section that is related to kubernetes monitoring as this is a very hot topic these days

Before I write anything else - the ultra heavy indian accent is a big deal in this course... Don't underestimate this. It took me almost a year to motivate myself to take the course just because I could not stand the accent... I started the course and only got to the 2nd lecture at least 5 times and I just stop it, I simply cannot continue. However, now I am trying to stomach through the course and content-wise I have to say that this is not a very deep dive... Examples are pretty simple and also he does not even show everything, for example on the aggregation operators lecture he showed a few and said "and there are other aggregation operators, ok?" Another thing that I don't like is that Kubernetes part is missing and the creator of the course keeps lying in the Q&A section for over 3 years now that it will be added but let's be honest, this is more than enough time to add a single section for the most souht-after matter. All in all, I will not give 1 star, but I really cannot give more than 2. @A to Z Mentors, try to do better, check out other creators on the platform, see their engagement with their audience, try to be like them! :)

La pronunciación del idioma es muy bueno, ademas los subtitulos (solo en ingles) ayudan a mejorar la comprension. En Julio de 2022 aun faltaban temas como federate y prometheus en kubernetes, sin embargo las bases son solidas. The pronunciation is well and clear, multiple topics are covered, however federate and kubernetes are not in the course, may be they will be added in the future

Great Course for a Beginner! as it starts from the basics of Prometheus Tool and also covers all the required topics like PromQL, Alerting, Monitoring, Exporters and so on and it also provides resources where ever they are required and the assignments as well as Quiz present in between the modules also helps to analyse our-self regarding what we have learnt. Overall Great Course!!! Thank You!

The instructor has done a fantastic job in explaining the concepts. Withholding 1 star as there is no coverage given to usage of Prometheus application on Kubernetes platform as Prometheus is the de facto monitoring standard on Kubernetes.

Good course. Goes into quite a bit of detail about all important aspects of Prometheus including some things I haven't seen covered in other courses, for instance how to setup custom exporter and what you can do with the API. The only thing that's missing that would make this course 5 stars is the Kubernetes integration, by using Prometheus Operator or kube-prometheus-stack Helm chart. Prometheus is the de-facto standard for monitoring Kubernetes applications so it's definitely worth covering in a course like this.

No Words for this AWESOME course!!! it will save months of effort ."The Best Course in Prometheus" for power users who want to get hands-on in just 15 minutes. only course i was glued for 10 hours due to the perfect flow of learning. the course has a good flow and best examples to get started and practical Prometheus experience . An important tool for DevOps/SRE. Excellent , keep it up the team for great work.
