This material is pretty good. If you have never done Python before, this is not a bad choice. The instructor is kind of stream of consciousness in his instructing: it often appears that he has not planned out his code ahead of time. He does occasionally say that he has tried the code ahead of time, but it more often comes off like he just kind of wings it. It gets really annoying at times. There is lots of, "Hmmm... what do I want to do here? Um, let's do this... no let's do this. Yeah." (type, type, type... type, type, type), "Hmmm... that didn't work. What did I do wrong here?... No... that isn't it... hmmm..." And, honestly, you know what? We're waiting. He also says things like, "you could do this." And he types something out real fast, and then says, "but we're not going to do that here." And then he deletes it really fast. Um... thanks :/ The final criticism may be a combination of LoFi recording equipment (his mic), lossy compression, and LoFi playback equipment (my earbuds), but from my end this guy is slurring so much sometimes that it sounds like he's drunk. Pretty sure it's just bad audio quality. Again, this is not a bad course. The instructor clearly knows the material and covers a lot of good stuff. There are a couple of things he does that I find to be a bit irritating, but it may just be me.

It's a good course and mostly well explained. However, most of the videos are unnecessarily long due to the mistakes the tutor makes - instead of being edited out, they've been left in and it can be quite confusing for a complete beginner, even though all the mistakes are corrected. I expected flawless videos, but it seems that the tutor is used to other languages and confuses the syntax. All in all, I have consolidated what I already knew and learnt a lot more about Python, I'm just glad I had a promo code and didn't pay for the course.

This course looked like it would have been good, but ultimately was pretty disappointing. The instructors accent was very difficult for me as a non-UK English speaker to understand. This could have been mitigated easily by the closed captioning, but the closed captioning was not a transcript, but speech recognition, and it was having a hard time understanding him as well, making the captioning useless. Also, he made a lot of time consuming errors during each presentation, which were distracting, and a lot of the areas that could have used a lot more depth and exploration, like classes and inheritance, were glossed over. I think a very beginner might have found enough of interest to encourage further exploration, but just the material here would not be a very substantial foundation. As an experienced programmer myself who has explored some Python, there wasn't a lot here to interest me, and the parts that did like the Python approach to classes and inheritance, and GUI programming, didn't have enough depth.

Good for beginners, but.. 1. Wasting time on stylistic formatting comments in the code (chapter with AND/OR/XOR/...) 2. A quiz about databases. There is a question about retrieving data from the database, I think there should be SELECT instead of READ (?) 3. The chapter about threads is really low explained, a lot of code but missing explanations why we use something. 4. I think the course was inspired by a site which is missed in a last chapter with URL - tutorialspoint. Even the sequence of the chapters is the same. but all in all, it is a good start for beginners.

I think the quizzes were way too easy for the course but the content is great. Also its hard to understand the instructor sometimes. But all in all a good course.

Luckily, I grabbed this course as a Freebie because I would have regretted spending even 20$ for this. In my view, the instuctor lacks the ability to integrate background-knowledge (if present) into the course and the lessons very much feel like reading out parts of a book the instructor has gone through without too much of real world experience. Listening to the instuctors voice appeard also quite tiresome to me and I would therefore abstain from any further courses of this instructor.

This course has been extremely helpful because I am a beginner and I want to learn all of the basics/fundamentals of Python and so far this course has done that :) Thank you so much because it's people like you who allow students to excel and expand their knowledge.

I enrolled to this course by using a free coupon, and you know, it's really good course for free. I know that in some lessons instructor has made mistakes, but I can fix them myself immediately. This course really interesting and includes information which helps to start learning python or improve existing skills, for instance I liked GUI part in this course, and learn interested things there. After end of this course there are a lot of links related to python which helps to not stop and continue education. Thanks for Frahaan to this course.

As it is the case with majority of "failed" courses, students don't get to understand what they're being taught. This course too is conducted by a person who has knowledge of other programing language(s) (not much experience with Python though), so he explains "how" to do things in Python... What is the purpose of loops, methods, exception handling, etc. A beginner student may not know/"feel" that. Don't waist your time (nor money) on this one. The web's full of free Python tutorials

Really enjoyed the course. It was a great introduction to Python, and I'll definitely check out other courses. I wish we would have gotten to GUIs earlier in the course, but otherwise, I learned some really neat stuff!
