This is a beginner's survey of crypto and blockchain from Frahaan Hussain, a games programming lecturer who also runs an online education company. It runs about 9.7 hours across 109 lectures and 13 sections. Topics include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, other coins, law and regulation, and uses of blockchain beyond money. Roughly 46,000 students have joined. The syllabus lists no quizzes and no coding exercises, so this is watch-and-absorb learning, not hands-on building.

Reviewers who like it say the explanations are clear and unhurried, with diagrams and advantage and disadvantage charts that help real newcomers. The complaint repeated across the low-star reviews is the teaching style: he writes out nearly every word on the board, which stretches the lectures and tests patience. Several people wanted slides instead. Others mention garbled captions, thin detail, and a wish for more on mining and trading. One reviewer says the later sections are only links, and the syllabus shows no video minutes for the last four.

Speed the video up, as another reviewer did, and look elsewhere for current trading or technical depth.

Frahaan explains it very clearly and slowly. I like how he writes everything out, the diagrams and how he makes "Advantage/Disadvantage" charts and how he explains things with possible scenarios.

I LOVE this course! Frahaan explains it very clearly and slowly. I like how he writes everything out, the diagrams and how he makes "Advantage/Disadvantage" charts and how he explains things with possible scenarios. Great class! I've gained a strong knowledge of Bitcoin's architecture but wish this course was updated to include the developments of the last two years. A few lectures on alt-coins would have been useful as well.

The presenter's style didn't go well with my concentration. Constant writing on the screen and loosing lots of time in just writing unnecessary text was destructing my attention. It would have been more beneficial to learn more on how to mine and how to trade rather than history of currencies.

De cursus is op zich ok, alhoewel er m.i. te lang wordt stilgestaan bij de diverse cryptocurrencies. Ik hoop nog te leren wat er nog meer met blockchain kan. De transscript/ondertiteling is echt van balabberde kwaliteit. Alsof die gemaakt is dor iemand die alleen geluisterd heeft naar het verhaal zonder de 'slides' te bekijken.

The course was great and many useful stuff was discussed by the instructor. I think if the notes are pre-written in form of a presentation or something will save a lot of time and more learning could be achieved in a more creative and effective way.

The course good as an introduction. However does not go into that much detail, and the instructor is writing every word so its quite slow. However the biggest issue its an incomplete course from section 10 onwards there are no lectures only links.

Great Explaining all the definitions needed to know about cryptocurrencies. My only pet peeve is that the explanations are too long because the author is speaking at the speed that he writes (too slow), need to be at 1.5 or 2x speed.
