Record Your Voice Like A Pro! The Complete Voice Over Course (Udemy.com)

Justin was quite helpful and presented the material as I expected, but my audio kept cutting out in Section 2 and it was annoying. I had to look at the transcript, which was inaccurate, to catch his full sentences. I don't really know why Joe Parys had to pop up at the beginning and end (he wants us to give him money, oh right), because he has very little to do with the course material and lessons.

Audio quality throughout the course is awful, not much focus on how to perform. Most of the focus of this course is how to master audio recording with Adobe Audition.

Instructor has a great voice. He does not follow a script so the course structure is starting out a little loose. BUT he's dropping a lot of useful resources and information and I feel that I'm going to get a lot out of this course. Ok, now later, he IS following a script and his explainaions of a lot of the functions of software, regardless of which softwaare you're using is very useful.

Too repetitive in some aspects. especially in the first long lessons. Great technical tips about the procedures and technicalities of the home recording process with the software (DAW), and some about the methods to do the voice over itself, with the reading types to convey emotions. Anyway, almost nothing about how to train your speech, pronunciation, breathing and synchronization.

Justin is very accessible. He has an engaging, personable, style of delivery - you can tell he’s sincere. He really wants you to learn. That’s great because I’ve taken countless courses with an instructor who only reads each bullet from the onscreen slide, with no embellishments. Great job so far, Justin.

The areas covered were extremely helpful. A followup that goes more into the business workflow would be very nice. I feel I can make a good recording from this course, but would like more information about good inroads into the current VO market. Otherwise a great course that went over a ton of the nuts and bolts of VO.

This was the first Udemy course I've completed and I loved it! I learned so much more than I anticipated! Justin definitely knows the ins and outs of the Voice Over business and did a great job of sharing that knowledge. (Plus he had a really great voice to listen to!) I would highly recommend this course for anyone who wants to learn more about every aspect of the Voice Over business. Thank you, Justin, for sharing!

The instructor is likable. I would watch him again. The course wasn't what I expected. I wanted to learn more about how to be good at doing voice over. This course was more about the technical side which is nice but not what I was looking for. Oddly enough the audio was very difficult to hear sometimes. The whole 5th lecture was impossible to hear. I thought it was my mac but then I used my phone and it was the same way. Very disappointing. Another thing that would have been helpful is when the instructor suggested or mentioned specific things, if the spelling came up on the screen. I would love to known the spelling for the things he recommended or preferred etc.

The content is good. The production quality is not as good as one would expect for a course teaching Voice Over. At times the audio quality can only be described as poor, and I was having to constantly adjust the volume since sometimes it was loud and sometimes it was soft. The instructor would have done better using a written script. There were a few times where he had a tough time getting started, and times when he said "Uh" or "Ah" A final edit could have removed many of these errors and would have resulted in a more professional delivery. Had I paid the full $199 price, I would be asking for a refund, but at the sale price of less than $20, there is a lot of good information and advice.

I took this course so that I could learn how to record my voice for a documentary YouTube series that I am making. Therefore some of this course was not relevant. However as a novice the parts that were relevant were an eye opener. It will save me so much time. Just alerting me to what you can do is important on its own. I will need to redo some of the technical parts when the time comes to use this knowledge so I am glad I have lifetime access.
