I am a completely new user - the course is intuitive and explains mainly the basics & the interface. It's pretty much a tutorial for beginners up till the point I reached (color grading). I see a well thought course, but without any "wow" moment in it. Once the course is completed I believe I might have a good grasp of the tool, and I'll be ready for some more "in depth" courses.

My honest review, First of all the structure of the course was not well thought it was all over the place you fell so lost at some points, second the whole course could have been done in a 1 hour to 2 hour max for to much useless repeats of the same thing, 3rd point odd and weird when you look up his youtube channel and webpage its all about cryptocurrency and that kind throws off that he is not really an expert in editing videos or anything rated to that, he is more into making cash kinda business and not helpful. You can feel in his course not worth more $10 course there is better on youtube then this trust me or find someone else worth the money.

Though I learned the necessary to feel confident editing my own videos in FCPX, I thought the teacher wasn't specific and careful enough during his explanations on the how's and why's of each tool presented. Many times he would brush-off explanations by just stating "This looks cool", "This looks bad", "This happens, when you do this"; prompting me to make my own research/studying outside the platform while taking the class to better understand the tools and ideas. Most of the course is padded out by videos that seem to have been made for a Youtube audience in mind.

This was a great experience ...... one of the best training videos that I have watched. I caught this at a special price and will look for more of the same. I recently purchased FCPX and was struggling with getting started. The 16-second video exercise at the beginning of the course laid the background for learning the rest. I have watched all the videos ... some multiple times ... and will watch them again and again, if needed. I am 72 years old. You are never too old to learn new technology if it is carefully scripted and presented in a logical learning order. This video is!

First lesson to make video was difficult. I almost thought it would take me forever to learn this program. However in subsequent sections everything was done clearly and I was able to proceed more quickly. It will be great to be able to go back to specific lessons to refresh myself when I do my own work. I appreciate that he goes into the various options for doing each procedure without making it too complicated. I also was excited to find interesting applications of the tools that would make my work interesting.

This class is phenomenal. I know a lot of the stuff being taught but there are a bunch of little hidden gems I didn't know that are going to make me a wiz with this software. Before this course I was using Final Cut Pro X, but I didn't know how to utilize all it has to offer. This class simplifies everything for you so using the software is less intimidating for a beginner. Way to Go and a Big Thanks.

Happy I purchased, he covered a lot of things. A few things felt a little repetitive but I understand why he would repeat things in certain lectures. I absolutely love that he provided those two video clips towards the end so we could do steps along with him. I wish there were more of those hands on learning lectures. But Overall I think its perfect for a beginner.

Great course, I have been using FCPX for about a year so I had figured out how to do a lot of the stuff but Joe taught me the right way to do it and how to keep your library efficient and tidy to save memory space, some cool shortcuts and where to find extra stuff online and who to follow for creative ideas!
