- Evaluate the strengths and limitations of AI in SDLC activities
- Develop a mindset for AI-assisted SDLC
Course Description
Software engineering is entering a new era, one where humans and AI agents work side by side.
AI is no longer a futuristic concept in software engineering. In this exploratory course, you will dive into how the GitHub Copilot Agent can participate in every phase of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from initial requirement discussions to deployment strategies. You will explore and do hands-on experiments on how the GitHub Copilot Agent can become your collaborative partner throughout the SDLC.
The process reveals not just what GitHub Copilot can do, but how you can direct it to achieve meaningful outcomes. This course is not about replacing the human elements in SDLC. It's about transforming how they work. You'll learn to guide the AI as if it were a capable but inexperienced teammate: great at producing code or generating ideas, yet in need of your judgment and domain knowledge.
Each section includes hands-on exercises designed to simulate collaboration between human expertise and AI capability. Step by step, you will explore each SDLC phase: from gathering requirements to design, implementation, testing, and deployment. In every stage, you will learn how GitHub Copilot's capabilities can streamline your work and help you think differently about collaboration and productivity.
The course encourages critical thinking: How should teams adapt to this new kind of coworker? What roles remain unique for human? Understanding this evolving collaboration could become an essential professional skill. The course focuses on process understanding: identifying where AI adds value and where it still falls short. You will finish with a practical mindset on how to effectively combine your expertise with AI assistance in your real-world development workflow.

Timotius came from small Indonesian city but now working on it's capital : Jakarta. He's been in software engineering job for years. His first job was in the large consumer finance in Indonesia. Then he took a role as Engineering Manager on Indonesian unicorn. Few moments after, he moved back to another large Indonesian consumer finance and take a role on Engineering & Architect Head.
Taking the role as Head, he get more time to coach his team members about software engineering practice.
With more than 5 years experience as Java developer, and for the last few years handle enterprise complexity as Engineering Manager & Enterprise Architect, he will be glad to deliver high quality courses containing information of various technologies and software architecture design skills that he has acquired through his professional experience.
His goal is to deliver courses that not only good in theory, but also applicable in real-life use cases. His courses give the concept, and the hand-coding experience. He will also provide various resources, including source code to hands-on coding.

As an AI, I don't have personal experiences, feelings, or the ability to enroll in courses. However, if you're writing a response or review for a course evaluation, here is a flexible template you can customize with your own details: Overall Experience: [Insert overall impression, e.g., Overall, taking this course was a very rewarding experience. The curriculum was well-structured, and the pacing made complex topics manageable.] Why It Was / Wasn't a Good Match: Learning Style: [e.g., The mix of hands-on projects and clear lectures matched my interactive learning style.] Goals & Alignment: [e.g., It directly aligned with my personal and professional goal of strengthening my skills in this field.] Key Takeaway: [e.g., The practical assignments were particularly helpful in giving me real-world insights.] If you'd like, let me know the subject or title of the course, and I can help draft a personalized response based on your feedback!

It would be more valuable if all these instructions were demonstrated using a real-time coding environment, such as VS Code.

The training has been informative and useful so far. The sessions are well structured and have helped me understand the concepts better. It would be great to include more practical examples, hands-on exercises, and real-time project scenarios to make the learning experience even more effective.

This course is excellent and provides comprehensive coverage of the end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). What makes it particularly valuable is the integration of Agentic AI concepts and practical applications throughout the development process. The course effectively demonstrates how AI can enhance planning, design, development, testing, and deployment activities, making it highly relevant for modern software engineering professionals.

Great course demonstrating how AI and GitHub Copilot can streamline the SDLC and improve development efficiency. Practical examples made the concepts easy to understand and apply.
By Heli Medrano on 8/13/2026
It was a good combination for me, as it indicates key points and criteria to consider throughout the software development life cycle.
By Tushar Ghodke on 6/12/2026
It was good learning, however if there could be some pictorial and diagrams included would help to relate the content in better way. Also I did not like the animated human photos added at bottom corner of the video. Rest was good.

I don't know that it was a great match for me given that we do not use GitHub, but the concepts around AI are good even if a bit outdated. Not that that is the creator's fault. AI is moving so fast, it's hard to have training that is up to date.

Its good know the product development to technical development based how need create the application and delivery to the customer.
By Simon Driscoll on 3/18/2026
Bland slides. As other reviewers have mentioned slides also have weird random images of people on right hand bottom corner. Content fine but uninspiring presentation with what sounds like an AI generated voice droning on.
