Responsive Web & Mobile Development in HTML,CSS & Javascript (Udemy.com)

I was able to follow along for some of the course, but the section with the tutorials from W3schools were horrible. The instructor in those videos pauses too long when she is speaking, gives vague explanations on what everything is doing, and goes far too fast (as she is just copying and pasting code, you cannot pause quickly enough to even write the code down yourself). The rest of the lectures were okay, but the final two lectures on how to do a Modal felt rushed.

Thank you for this course even tho it was hard to replicate the code you written because you didn't go in detail in depth and almost skipped all of html explaining process and part of css as well and part of javascript it was amazing to see a professional like how fast is working and doing the process that quick Thank you !

The instructor's voice was very pleasant and his speaking style was very easy to understand. Unfortunately, when transitioning from one video to the next, he did not always show the complete code changes so we would know what exactly needed to be changed in our own code to follow along. There were often times when we were being told what to type in without the instructor explaining WHY we were including certain lines of code. Much to my disappointment, the final source code used by the instructor was never made available for download, and there was never any clear part in the final video that showed all parts of the code for all three files, so in the end, when my Open Modal code resulted in TypeError: btn is null, unfortunately I had nothing to compare to in order to see if I could find my mistake. I did exhaustively replay the video and pause where possible to compare what I could, to no avail.

The HTML part was excellent and the basic css, however simple, was presented adequately. In later videos the instructor would have added or removed code in between videos to show more examples, and I feel for a beginner course jumping around like that without showing them you coding it may be jarring to inexperienced viewers. When he went over "responsive design", he never mentioned using "@media" in css to target smaller / larger resolutions. (Though I'm not sure if this is due to the course being old, him not wanting to overload new coders, or simply forgetting.) The JavaScript portion of the video was a tad odd, both in the implementation, and what he chose to show as an example. I feel something instructional about how the basic syntax works would've been more helpful to beginners, instead of giving them an arbitrary use case example. The course felt a bit dated (doesn't use JavaScript ES6, no @media etc), but overall it is a decent supplementary course for people with little to no experience in HTML, and maybe CSS, however I would not recommend this for learning JavaScript.

Really clear teaching with American instructor. It is a short course which is great if you haven't touched JavaScript yet. In 2 hours you'll build a simple project where you will code HTML, CSS and JS. So if you've been putting JavaScript off until you are "ready" just get your feet wet with this course. It's a short course so you won't always be coding along, sometimes the instructor will build a feature and explain it in the lesson. You will get to catch up - but this is more of an overview as to what's possible with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Don't worry if you don't understand the animation code as you would use generators for this. The JavaScript functions are quite clear but you will need learn a bit theory more online. Overall a really useful introduction to front end web development covering a lot of the basics.

So far I see this course as giving me a nice boost towards understanding HTML, CSS, and Javascript a great deal more. And I believe it will help prepare me for some courses I'll be taking soon in college. UPDATE: Definitely helped with with the coding portion of my class. Gave me a leg up so I was able to finish my assignments early and with A's across the board.

As an introductory course, this is excellent. If you have little experience with web development, you will need more training or just practice to continue to increase your skills...because this is an intro. Don't expect to come out an expert. The instructor was clear and experienced. The pace was slow enough that you could keep up and practice the same coding as he went along AND you could see your web page develoop, too. It was especially helpful to see the use of Mozilla Thimble for the mobile page sizing. Well done! I enjoyed this course and recommend it to others.

It is a good course. It begins with good explanations and examples, and you can actually learn while doing. But in the end things were a little bit too fast, at the point that i finished whithout knowing a lot about what I just did. Maybe if the course was a little longer, it could be a lot better! For me it worked because I wanted to get back on track with my webdev skills.

Very good and tutorial but the last lesson needs some adjustments. The pace is too high and there is a lot of details which need more explanation for the beginners. Maybe you should try running the modal after each step to help people see what changes.

Make no mistake, this is not a beginners course. Except for the html videos, the css and javascript ones will fly by without you not understanding what's going on. The instructor just types the code in section and reads what he is typing. There is no explanation about why he is using that code. It would have been handy if the source course used in the videos was provided.

Liked the course. Short and sweet. Only found the last 'Modal' part a little too fast paced. Also I assume NOT EQUALS in JavaScript is not '=='

Would be better if had quizzes or ability to practice what you are learning. Otherwise, good breakdown of code parts and explanations of what parts are doing what and why.
