I feel like I just took a college course on SEO. I like the videos because I am a visual learner and the videos click in my brain. As I am going through the course, I am fixing the mistakes on my website in real time. Love it. Looking forward to learning more.

I bought this course around 4-5 years ago in 2017 or 2018 but then was unable to get back to it for a really long time. Now, when I had the chance I decided to complete it and I must say it has been quite helpful in understanding how SEO works. As the course is quite old, it consists of course material on various Google services like Google Adwords (which Google Ads now) and Google Analytics (which is Universal Analytics now and is being changed to Google Analytics 4 in 2023). But apart from that, the entire course was very effective for me and I learnt some minute details about SEO that I wasn't aware of. Thank you Eric!!

A fair bit of the content is outdated - Google works differently now, and the course has not been updated. Difficult to tell when this was recorded as there's no date saved anywhere, but looks to be pre-2015. Subtitles are terrible - they're relying on the auto subtitle, which translated SEO in a variety of ways, such as Sea, Seed, CEO, among others. Just in case you didn't know, D/deaf people and hard of hearing people still want to develop themselves, and this course is not suitable for them due to the terrible subtitles.

Still deciding but is holding my attention. For this intro to SEO, it might have been good to start off with some of the clips from the supplemental resources before getting into the lecture. This would have held my attention much better and I would not have felt like I picked the wrong course.

By Michael Haering on 6/27/2018

I enjoyed this course. It explained many great SEO concepts, offered good interviews with industry experts, and Eric is clearly very knowledgeable. The content is a bit older, but most concepts still apply. It does offer a good history lesson on how things were in some cases.

Its little early to ask the review as I merely learned anything about SEO apart form the Kick Ass Chilly. Eric seems to be big guy in SEO but now a days any tom dick and harry can be seen around guys like RICH DAD and others. So I am very optimistic that the content and information that I will get form this course are usefull.

I still needed more details on SEO'ing and propably more intersting facts . Though Eric is great and easy to get. the podcast weren,t truly helpful as I am visual learner and I was distracted so many times and got bored half way through them I wish they were videos .

By Sandor Horvath on 8/2/2017

Eric is a brilliant teacher and loved also the podcast conversations. I guess he made a new SEO and Social Media Fan thanks to his works. Next week I start with my new position and he made for me a complete new view from basics. Easy understandable I only can recommend.

For someone like me who didn't know anything on SEO it is a very interesting course, I learn a lot in a very pleasant way; the lecture is clear, the trainer is charismatic and the fact that the course is divided in short films it is really good and helps practice right away.

By Senthilkumar Subramanian on 8/1/2016

Great course for beginners and some useful tips here and there for people who have been exposed to SEO for quite some time. A lot of the information in this course is very outdated for 2016. Plus if I'm not wrong, the instructor got on-page and off page SEO mixed up in the course.
