I worked in the police in the UK for 12 years as a patrol officer and detective. While I was in the job I helped teach the new e-mail system to other officers. I took a few IT exams and then left for a career in IT in June 2000.
I took a few more exams with vendors such as Cisco and Microsoft and got a job working for Cisco for two years. I then started an IT training company teaching Cisco and computer networking courses. I built the business until it had several offices in the UK and then sold it.
I now run a publishing business and several websites teaching IT related subjects. I've learned how to build a successful company and how to make it in the world of IT. I hope what I've learned helps you too.

This cisco Security lesson isn't realy down to my expectation. The learning arrangement (Numbering) is poor. Understanding priviledge level started with what was learned in the previous lesson (Router configuration). I got lost in that area, that is somehow intermediate class.

I realize its just a quick rendition to give one an idea of the diverse topics associated with wanting to be a network engineer, but it would be nice to reference where one can get the courses in their completeness. Paul Browning is an excellent instructor and very engaging.

This assembly of modules and data are arranged in a appropriate of entry to mid level hardware technicians and for pre-engineering study . as I progressed through this course I was able to fill in a lot of small gaps and build a better picture in regards to the subject matter .

The course is a long, but explains many different certifications. All of the instructors are very knowledgeable in the courses they teach in this course. I highly recommend it to ANYONE wanting to pursue NETWWORK ENGINEERING! It is considered a 9.5 hr course, but it took me several days, as I filled a notebook with detailed notes.

This is awesome, good job...hope you'll also have a Free Bachelor's Degree program with the certificate of completion for I share the same belief that learning should be free and for everyone. At this moment I thank you and More Power!

I really enjoy the format. He does a great job on letting you know what you are going to talk about and then follows up after talking about it. The information is basic but I think this is just an overview on many topics. However, I've been in IT for over 10 years and have learned something new from this. Thank you!

Great general introductory course. It will really help you get an over view of multiple areas of IT. really good at giving you an idea of what each area is responsible for, specially if you are unsure what area is it that interests you the most. not really aimed at teaching but more to clear things up for any IT tech interested in expanding his career further in any of the areas in course.
