Our take
Based on the ratings of 992 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in July 2025. No course pays to be reviewed.
Arun Motoori's course teaches manual software testing from scratch, and it is huge: about 107 hours across 576 lectures. The centerpiece is a live project on an eCommerce app, where he writes the test plan, scenarios, cases, defect reports and status emails in full. Around that sit SDLC models, black box techniques, API testing, Jira, a section on AI in testing, and 195 interview question lectures. The only requirement is basic computer skills, and one reviewer moving from a non-IT background says it suited them.
Praise is consistent. Reviewers call the teaching simple and easy to follow, and say the practical examples make things easier for a beginner. One calls it a business analyst course as well, and another uses it next to ISTQB study. The complaints are just as consistent. Low-star reviewers say it is repetitive and padded, with one describing a 41-minute video that defines the term 31 minutes in. Others find the accent and speed hard to follow, and say the auto captions get words wrong. One would rather see prepared slides than live drawing in Paint.
Most of the 992 reviews give four or five stars, so the 4.4 average is earned, and the July 2025 update means the material is fairly current. The catch is time. The syllabus shows no quizzes or exercises, so learning is by watching and copying the project. It is a good pick for anyone who wants a full set of testing documents to model their own on and has patience for a slow teacher. Learners who prefer short lessons should look at something tighter.
Pros
- A live eCommerce project with test plan, scenarios, cases, defects and status emails all written out
- Reviewers call the explanations simple and easy to follow, which helps people moving in from non-IT
- Goes well past the basics: API testing, Jira, SDLC models, black box techniques and a resume section
- 195 interview question lectures give a large bank of practice answers for entry-level job searches
Cons
- Many low-star reviewers say it is repetitive, with short ideas stretched into very long videos
- The accent and fast speech are hard for some students, and the auto captions often get words wrong
- No quizzes, coding exercises or practice tests, so it is all watching and following along
Easy to understand as a beginner. The practical examples makes it easier
Truly beginner on content, needing only basic computer skills, but the slow pace and accent frustrate some newcomers.

Too much lengthy videos, there is no need of that much explanation....15 min of topic explained in 1 hour videos. you cant skip the video of thinking that it could be necessary and in the last it feels like you wasted the time.

I like how the professor explain how what is software testing, the terminology and what is expected when assigned Projects to the Testing Team, so far it is helping with my studies with ISTQB studying a quizzes that I am undertaking.

The entire content was made easy, simple & understandable for people who are planning to move from a Non-IT to IT domain. Efforts taken by Mr. Arun are sincerely appreciated. One suggestion while creating the test scenario or test case document in excel, please use freeze panes option for header and SI no, so that we need go back and forth looking for headers and SI no/Test no.
