Course Description
Most of the features in SolidWorks are called" sketch-based features", that is why in this course, we have extra attention to 2D sketching. Then the attention is directed to three main topics, the first one is to learn SolidWorks features, the second one is to have practice so you can use these features and the third one is to have real life examples on using these features. By completing this course your level in modeling will be intermediate. Three types of modeling are covered:
1- Solid modeling. Here you will be able to create 3D models using SolidWorks solid modeling features which is the main technique in creating 3D models in general.
2-Sheet metal modeling. Since Sheetmetal design is a basic element is metal fabrication and it is widely used in manufacturing, this course focuses on teaching the theory and techniques in order to be able to create models using Sheet Metal features.
3-Structural steel modeling (SolidWorks Weldments). Since Structural steel modeling is a basic element is metal fabrication and it is widely used in manufacturing, this course focuses on teaching the theory and techniques in order to be able to create models using Structural steel modeling.
In my opinion, the topics covered in this course must be known by mechanical engineers.

I am a mechanical engineer experienced in CAD. I have some teaching experience. I worked in plastic molds design and in steel products design and fabrication like piping systems, platforms, pumps base plates. I also have some teaching experience. I will be happy to have your feedback and comments. Please contact me for any questions or comments about the course.

The topics are very well outlined. It starts in very basic topics and extends to more advanced topics. One can easily follow the videos in every topic. If it seems a little fast, i can always pause the videos until i catch up. Best for beginners like me. Thank you Sir Mohammad Alzghoul.

Great course. Clear steps to follow. Would recommend to everyone. Great last practice session putting Weld, Sheet metal together. What other courses have you authored? Have certification in CSWP, Sheet metal and Drawing....wish I had taken this course before the sheet metal.

I have a couple of years of self-taught experience and want to get back to the basics to better my drawing etiquette. So far, these lessons have shown me some basic tools concepts I did not consider and I look forward to the rest of the lessons. The instructor is clear and precise.

This course added to me much information about the commands of sheet metal, sketch and weldments sections, but I faced some critical problems: 1/ Eng, Muhammad did not follow the comments and did not reply to my questions. 2/The course did not include the blueprints for the exercises sections so I did not be able to practice it perfectly. 3/About the weldment command, Eng, Muhammad did not give as many exercises only 2. I hope he read my comment and review these points and to follow his good work to complete his great course. I wish him more success.

Love the way you use simple mechanism to show the use of geometrical relations. Cool to see that a picture can help modeling irregular shapes like bottles or cars. Interesting to be able to boss or deboss sketches on cylindrical faces so things like cups with texts printed or shafts with irregular slot shapes can be created. Another excellent point to make is that you add amendments of small mistakes you might have done while explaining topics. That shows great care of tutor not only when tutorial was recorded but later on as well.

The examples are so great. Especially repeating the same example for the impeller. It was modeled by solid modeling, then later the same impeller was modeled using the features of the Sheet metal. The rest of examples are good too. The crane example is long, but it is a very nice feeling when you complete it and see it in 3D.

I have been trying to learn SolidWorks for 3 months using free resources. I was offered this course for free, I think it was a kind of promotion or something. Now I can say that, by far this course is the best resource I have used and I don't mind purchasing it based on its content, structure and the way of explaining things. I like the variety of examples and that it covers at least 4 areas in Solidworks that you need to enroll 4 or three courses to cover them. It is recommended for anyone who wants to learn SolidWorks.

This course is absolutely worth the investment. I am totally beginner and It helped me to start with SolidWorks . Thanks for your efforts Mohammad. I am now able to design a lot of 3D models. As an engineer myself, I highly recommend this course to beginner and intermediate modelers

This course is a great, a nice way to learn 3D modeling in SolidWorks. It is well-designed combination of solid, sheet metal and weldments modeling. I think it is a confidence builder, it motivates you to model many kinds of products in SolidWorks. If I had to rate this course with a mark then this is a big 5 out of 5.
