I really liked this course because David basically holds your hand as he takes you through how to song write. He really breaks it down in an encouraging, unassuming, pragmatic way that I feel was lacking from other songwriting courses I have tried. He demystifies it, which is fantastic. I now feel like I have the tools to explore my songwriting journey further as it has hitherto intimidated me even though I am a vocalist and guitarist. I knew I would like the course when he mentioned Steve Earle (he is the only musician I have an autograph of by the way)!

I made 34% and I didn't learn much. I am used to write songs but idk I wanted to learn more about that art cause I am mostly doing it instinctively. (I red your answer, and I might continue the course to see if I can learn something useful for my writing)

It's a bit confusing to learn songwriting for a piano from a course of guitar songwriting but hey- who said it'll go as we planned? In general Dave explains all of the topics in easy to understand way so, we'll get there.

David is well-spoken, clear and concise in his instruction and guidance. His approach in this course is all about helping you, the learner, expand your abilities in songwriting. He gives examples if you are starting from a blank slate, but constantly encourages you to work with what you have, regardless of what it is.

This course was an experience for sure. The instructor definitely covers all bases of songwriting in detail and with examples of everything to make the concepts easier to understand. He is also very encouraging, especially towards the end of the lesson to get out there and believe in yourself as a songwriter. Definitely would recommend

Appropriate exercises and examples to learn from, and the content was delivered in a way that felt like an insanely relaxed or casual professor - or maybe a father's fireside chat is a more appropriate analogy. He nixed anything intimidating, while still occasionally throwing some bigger words or ideas around for super nerds to Google to their tangents' content. And provided motivation to sludge through the work that is songwriting

Inspired! I am about halfway through the course and already have a few solid songs and loads of ideas jotted on paper and in voice notes. He offers tons of tools and breaks it down so that song writing feels easy and flows naturally. I also like the pace of the course. It give me plenty of time to write notes and internalize all the information. I have not found any other course like this out there. Well worth the money!

I have been writing songs for several years now, yet I got some new and unique insights from David. He doesn't feed you cliches, he gives you new perspectives on melody, rhythm, and lyrics. I'm very happy I got this course - it will help me to make further progress in my songwriting journey.

I appreciate Rossiter's positive attitude and encouragement from the very start. I was surprised that after a short pep talk, he has the student begin writing verses almost immediately. I realize that there are loads more lessons to come but it's gratifying to be able to start creating at such an early stage of this course.

Very helpful step-by-step entry into something very difficult to master on your own. Through his instruction, I've gone from total beginner to writing my own song and performing it, something I never thought I'd be able to do. Great teacher, highly recommend this course.
