Good understanding of the basics of Splunk.

By Waleed Abdelwareth on 12/27/2025

Great reference could help to build solid foundation, language of instructor is great to listen

By Azzim Aina on 2/15/2025

A deaf person cannot use your class , the transcript is not available for some course content

By GrumpyTinkerer on 11/24/2024

The course has potential but feels rushed in several areas, with issues in quality control and content delivery: Section 1: Frequent changes in narrator or recording/editing setups occur at odd times, disrupting the flow. Section 2: Duplicate content between videos 10. Installing Splunk on Linux and 12. Installing Splunk Cloud. Section 3: Menu navigation is rushed, making it hard to follow. Additionally, part of the screen is obscured by a border, further hindering visibility. Section 4: No issues here. Section 5: This section is insufficient for learning SPL; a dedicated SPL course is recommended. Video 30. Understanding SPL Syntax is incomplete, cutting off mid-sentence during the "Field Extraction" explanation, with "Time Ranges" left unexplained. Section 6: The course misses its stated focus on SOC and SIEM management. It doesn’t go beyond basic examples and lacks depth. Overall Impression: Explanations are often weak. For example, in module 33, the `rename` command throws an error, and while it is resolved, the underlying issue (spaces in the name requiring quotes) isn’t explained. This lack of clarity occurs throughout the course, giving it a rushed feel with limited quality control. The course may provide value to junior SOC analysts or Threat Detection engineers just starting out, but it’s not suitable for experienced professionals looking to quickly master transition towards Splunk. At a sale price (< €15), it’s an acceptable introduction.

As mentioned in the course. I am a "Splunk enthusiast" and I found this course to be concise and very well explained the Splunk fundamentals.

By edward S on 9/24/2024

Not many "Instructors" can teach Splunk effectively to a newbie. The ability to articulate Splunk and it's features while using analogies so that many can understand was golden. Great Work!

By Muhammad Ja'far Mubarok on 9/10/2024

the transcript did not appear in some videos, which made it very difficult for me. On the other hand, the instructor was very clear in delivering the learning material by giving some analogies.

By şeyma nur ertürk on 8/5/2024

It was a lesson that I understood very well. I could not concretize it this much before.

By Fatma Güneş on 8/5/2024

It was a course where I got an excellent flow of information about SOC and SIEM topics. I did the applications and got similar results, so I did it correctly. The narration is very good thanks!

By Engin Deniz on 8/5/2024

Thanks to this training, I can quickly detect and analyze security incidents in large datasets using Splunk. Especially the applications on real world scenarios helped me a lot on how to use the knowledge learned in business life. Thanks to this course, I feel better equipped as a Splunk enthusiast
