This SQL DBA beginners course will teach you the basic functions that DBA's has to perform.
In this course you will not have to install any software as we will be using a ready made virtual lab environment provided my Microsoft.

The virtual labs is ideal because it is free and gives you an environment that mirrors a real world production SQL Server environment. I strongly urge you to take advantage of this opportunity as I do not know how long Microsoft will have these virtual labs available for. All you require to access the virtual labs is a web browser . It does not matter if you are using a mac , Pc or Linux and there is absolutely nothing for you to install. The lab exercise you will perform in this course using the virtual labs are similar to a real world SQL Server production environment.

The instructions appear to be outdated; the TechNet site and behavior of the Labs are different. I was able to get to where I needed to be, but had to pause the video several times and explore on my own to do it. For example, there was no Paste option in Commands. I had to go back to the documentation in the right pane (that was minimized when we clicked the push pin) and click on Machines, and it was there that I was able to access the password to log in as a Lab User or as an Administrator.

Awesome introduction class to using Microsoft Virtual Labs 2016 SQL Server. The information is easy to follow and the screen view is clear and easy to understand. Another A++ class from this instructor.

Because we were using virtual labs, it was more informative than anything and because of that, subtitles would have been great. I found the instructor repetitive at times. Otherwise good overview of DBA's.
