Course Description
SQLite is a software library that provides a relational database management system. The lite in SQLite means light weight in terms of setup, database administration, and required resource. SQLite does NOT require a server to run.
Because of the serverless architecture, you don’t need to “install” SQLite before using it. There is no server process that needs to be configured, started, and stopped. SQLite uses dynamic types for tables. It means you can store any value in any column, regardless of the data type.
SQLite is self-contained means it requires minimal support from the operating system or external library. This makes SQLite usable in any environments especially in embedded devices like iPhones, Android phones, game consoles, handheld media players, etc.
SQLite is capable of creating in-memory databases which are very fast to work with.
SQLite database is integrated with the application that accesses the database. The applications interact with the SQLite database read and write directly from the database files stored on disk.
Python is a dynamic modern object -oriented programming language that is easy to learn and can be used to do a lot of things both big and small. Python is what is referred to as a high level language. That means it is a language that is closer to humans than computer. It is also known as a general purpose programming language due to it's flexibility.
Python is a popular and versatile programming language. It can be used for web development (server-side) to create web applications , software development, mathematics, system scripting, data science, data visualization. Python can be used alongside software to create workflows. Python can connect to database systems. It can also read and modify files. Python can be used to handle big data and perform complex mathematics. Python can be used for rapid prototyping, or for production-ready software development.
Python works on different platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, Raspberry Pi, etc).Python has a simple syntax similar to the English language. Python has syntax that allows developers to write programs with fewer lines than some other programming languages. Python runs on an interpreter system, meaning that code can be executed as soon as it is written. This means that prototyping can be very quick. Python can be treated in a procedural way, an object-oriented way or a functional way.
In this practical hands on course we will build a database driven application and an API from scrtach with SQLite and Python.

Good content. Last chapter on Django needs an update for latest version of Django but I managed to resolve it.

Good one but the applications used are older versions. There need for updated version of this course using latest applications

Programmatical steps are explained to fast, especially on the django framework. Would be nicer to have practical assignments, so the theory becomes hands on practice and skills

I believe this is a good beginner course. It was not too hard to follow. It is, however, slightly outdated. I ran into issues where Django had depreciated the django.conf.url with Django ver. 4. Well, this is Django 5.0.4 that I'm using. I was able to figure out how to get the code working again with the help of the instructor's response and the searching the internet. Syntax and capitalization are also key elements to pay attention too (per usual). While creating a new record via the 127.0.01:8000/admin page, I had a user error where my Meta attribute within the Serialization.py file was not capitalized. But I found the error and fixed it. Another incident is when Postman was working, meaning it displayed all records when I executed a Get command, but then I started getting a 404 Not found error when using the Get request to display all records. Come to find out, it was an extra '/' at the end of the url (I presume it was left over from when I was selecting specific records to display). Overall, a lot of information was covered as it related to creating an API and testing it. Some additional information was provided but the course didn't go down the rabbit hole of explaining concepts or the like that were not relevant or over-explaining concepts. It was concise and if I needed to take notes on popup bubbles, I just paused the video. This is a great course. I learned the basics and have blocks of knowledge I can build upon.

An absolutely exact matching course that is am looking for in SQLite and Python.

Overall I enjoyed the class, there were a couple of oddities, like a video to edit the django settings.py file before the installation of Django. And I think the last section about django maybe should have gone through the CRUD cycle, instead of just adding a single record. But I thought the instruction was good, and the explanations were clear. I definitely recommend this course for anyone interested in sqlite.

Bastante bueno, pero en la sección final no explica muy bien el código del API solo aparece de golpe, del resto excelente

Very good course. Gives a nice view of all the components needed to creat a web interface to host your database.
By Mauricio Grasso on 10/28/2021
me encanta como explica, yo hablo español y muy poco de ingles pero al hablar lento y pausado se me hace fácil entender lo que esta diciendo. Además la teoría es completa lo cual se agradece un montón

Greatly appreciated clear depicted instructions on technical set up. Course is a little slow, but I appreciate it teaching to that level. I would rather that than a course that goes too fast. Great course!!
