Course Description
This course is built using the latest Apple release, iOS 18
Welcome to "SwiftUI Mastery - The iOS 18 Reference Library of Code, the definitive guide to to learning everything SwiftUI.
This is a SwiftUI Reference Course / Cookbook / and Set of Documentation, for everything SwiftUI. There are hundreds of downloadable examples / video instruction / and projects here so you can get the code you need and add it directly into your projects / create your own SwiftUI docs, or add this to your own existing SwiftUI docs.
My name is Steve DeStefano, i am a SwiftUI developer, and working together with the brilliant programmer J.D. Gauchat, I have turned his best selling book "SwiftUI for Masterminds, the iOS 18 edition" into this complete developers mastery course.
This course is different than other courses, in that we don’t just scratch the surface, or build a few simple apps… in here, I give you the SwiftUI framework, explained.
All the instruction, all the downloadable examples, and all the tools that you need to build your own insanely cool apps, without any wasted time or chatter. I am strictly on point reading from the book, typing the code, and explaining how it all works. I use labels, graphics, animations, and other callouts to help draw your attention to the flow of the code.
You get the step by step instruction for each technology in the SwiftUI framework, and see how to use the different views, initializers, methods, and modifiers that are available for each of those technologies.
Also included in the course is the code file for every lecture, so you can download it and use in your apps right away, all built with the latest release, and tested to run perfectly. This is a huge library of code, hundreds of examples highlighting the SwiftUI Framework, neatly categorized for easy look up and reference, so you have everything you need to create your own stunning apps to submit to the App Store.
If you’re new to Swift, no problem, there is a language section in the beginning of the course that will walk you through the Swift Language and get you up to speed, fast.
If you’re an experienced programmer, this course will be your go to resource, because it is a huge repository of instruction and downloadable code thats perfect to add to your own set SwiftUI docs.

I've been trying to learn iOS Swift for the past two years, but I often made excuses to delay my progress. As a web developer, it's challenging to keep up with the rapidly evolving technologies. Every six months, a new technology emerges with fresh features and approaches. Fortunately, I came across this course in my email, which motivated me to refocus on learning Swift due to its valuable content. I now have a better understanding of the differences between structures and classes and how Swift operates. I'm particularly excited about Section 5: Chapter 4 - Introduction to Frameworks. I'll keep you updated when I create my first app. Cheers!

This is probably not a course for people who are entirely new to programming. However, if you are already familiar with concepts such as closures, generic programming, OOP, ..., or are experienced in C++, Delphi, Java, Lisp, ..., then this is a fantastic course that spares you the superfluous nonsense and cuteness many other instructors provide. The delivery is spot-on. The author speaks very clearly, and uses consistently correct terminology. The videos are just the right length. If you don't get something the first time, revisit it, or better, get the book. It is definitely worth it. Time is valuable, and this course does not waste any. This course could not be any better.

Be aware that this course is designed as a Swift resource. This course is not an instructional course teaching you how to set up Xcode and create apps. This course has comprehensive information covering Swift, SwiftUI and other recent frameworks (updated to iOS 16). The course is excellent for beginner or intermediate developers to quickly refresh their knowledge, fill in knowledge gaps and get updates to the latest features. Most lectures have example code attached in the lecture's Resources button for easy reference and practice. Only parts of UIKit are taught where UIKit supplements SwiftUI. The course has a lot of material and the instruction is clear and concise. I'd like to see more material on advanced topics. Overall a good current SwiftUI resource.

i really think this an amazing work, but unfortunately is a waste of time, is to much outdated, every time the author modified something on the scenedelegate or appdelagete is going to be a nightmare try to put all the code together and have no errors on xcode 12 or newer. I do really think you should rerecord all the exercises again, and if you do that I would buy it in a second, anyway I do not feel that I have waste my money on this course, since I learned something from time to time.

This is one of the greatest detailed source about SwiftUI, it is about subjects that can be very boring but very very necessary at the same time, before thinking about the "big projects". This is the "ABC" of the Apple programming language and Mr. de Stefano is great as usual, with short but effective examples, clean screens to take snapshots and downloadable source codes... Really it is a programmer's bible, (even for a beginner like me)... Thanks for the extra effort to explain all of these, Mr.de Stefano. I'm sure I will rewatch this course from time to time, for the things that I will forget and, thanks to you, I can afford to forget. As long as I know where to find them... :)

Finally, this is the SwiftUI course I was expecting to find! Most SwiftUI courses and tutorials I've followed are focused on learning directly using some project examples. However, this one learns you most of the tools and fundamental mechanisms of SwiftUI, so you can program almost anything. Thank you very much for such a great course to S. DeStefano and J.D. Gauchat!

Let me put it this way: if the content of this course was compressed into a terse, straight-to-the-point PDF eBook with screenshots, inks to the videos, and a link to a GitHub repository with the code samples, I'd be more than happy to pay a reasonable amount of money (the same I paid for this course, give or take) to have such a book. As it is though, it tests my patience and attention span to the limit: hence, not quite a five-star rating.

This is a truly excellent course. It doesn't just skim across the top of the features provided by Swiftui, it really delves deep into the nitty gritty of the why and the when and the how. It seems to be exhaustive in terms of what it covers (newly released Swiftui features coming soon in an update) and the coded examples are clear and thorough. Absolutely no complaints and looking forward to the update.

This course started off a bit dry and wasn't sure I felt it was going to meet my needs but a few weeks in I have begun to appreciate the comprehensive / well organized approach will serve me very well as a reference tool and the Xcode examples are very much appreciated! Also the instructor seems to be very willing to respond to questions and provide additional references which is great.

Steve DeStefano has put together a brilliant course "SwiftUI - The Complete Developer Course". Excellent resources, so many examples and downloadable code. I have found this course one of the easiest courses to follow building on knowledge throughout the 177! lectures. Steve recommends buying "SwiftUI for Masterminds" by J.D. Gauchat. I have also bought this book and highly endorse the combination.
