I took up this course after completing the tableau fundamentals course offered by datacamp. I wanted to go through something similar or more detailed to be more confident in clearing the certification exam in my first attempt. I must say, this course covers all aspects of tableau foundation which aligns with the official documentation. His videos and explanations revolves around the official documentation which is what will be used for the questions that appear in the exam. Thank you for making things easier to understand and picking relevant excerpts from the documentation and making it easy to understand.

Excellent course, between this course and Amandeep's practice exams I was easily able to pass the exam with a score of 907. Take this class, thoroughly focus on the fundamentals, and follow along in Tableau with the given demonstrations. Take note of common tasks in Tableau and make it a point to practice different avenues of accomplishing the same task within Tableau. Do all the practice tests (some of the questions are very, very similar) and read Amandeep's thorough explanations to each question and you will ace this exam, no problem. With a resource like this I truly believe the only path to failure is by not applying yourself properly, it's all right here! Come and get it!

I loved this course! Explains in a way that makes things really easy to understand. One thing I would like to mention is that - in few sections I have noticed that he said "this is out of scope for tableau desktop specialist" but I actually got few questions from there in latest exam. BUT the good thing is - even if he said "out of scope" he explained it for our knowledge and that is where it was helpful. So, make sure you go over the course thoroughly if you want to pass the exam and don't ignore the points where it is mentioned "out of scope" because all are not. My advice would be to study it for your knowledge and not just to pass the exam and you should be able to pass it with flying colors after taking this course and the corresponding practice tests.

Overall, it includes all the content needed to help pass the exam, but one potential improvement could be explaining why we are doing the things we are doing instead of just the lectures. Maybe using real life scenarios and teaching the concepts based off that and building a portfolio would have been really helpful. I supplemented this with UC-Davis Data Visualization specialization with Tableau. That one was really good with real life scenarios, explaining the why behind what we're doing, and teaching design and visual principles to help with Tableau. Once I understood that, then everything started to click, not to mention it helped me get started on my portfolio through completing their assignments and capstone project. I think both this course and the UC-Davis one is really helpful to pass the Tableau Desktop Specialist course. If I were to do it again, I would start with UC-Davis course by going through all the videos on 1.5x speed. Then I would go back and get hands on practice by completing all of their assignments through course 4. (They also provide a free Tableau license for 6 months). Then I would come to this Udemy course and watch all lectures on 1.75 speed. Then take all the practice exams and refresh on any weak areas. Probably one of the best ways to pass the exam in 1 attempt and really learn Tableau, gain knowledge, and get started on a portfolio in the process!

The content is quite good for the pricing. As far as a general introduction to Tableau, this course provides a very solid foundation. In terms of preparation for the Tableau Desktop Specialist, it is probably not enough to just go through the course and take the exam but is good enough to get you started and then know what areas to delve further into using the online Tableau Documentation. Unfortunately, the hands-on sections and questions aren't of much use in preparation for the actual exam due to the Pearson changes, but the instructor does offer an up-to-date course with full practice exams that would provide better practice.

This course was truly the best I've taken. I was on the hunt for effective training specifically for the desktop specialist exam, and this course turned out to be a game-changer. It helped me crack the exam with a strong score of 793. Remarkably, I dedicated just one focused week to studying the course material. After finishing the course, I also used Amandeep's practice test course in the final three days leading up to the exam. I practiced with the test papers and referred to Tableau's documentation for each question. I strongly recommend this course to anyone preparing for the desktop specialist exam. Following the instructor's guidance and studying the material as advised can make a significant difference. It certainly did for me, and that's why I'm enthusiastic about recommending it.

Amandeep, Thank you! You are really good at Teaching and all your contents are very informative. Today I have Cleared the exam but certification was bit tough and Tricky. Along with this course everyone must practice 5 Mock exam’s and Resource materials provided by Amandeep + Hands on is very important. Most of the Questions are from Amandeep’s Resource materials. in real time, Questions are very good and Tricky in detail, only 20 sec’s left for me after answering 45 questions. Have completed the course and acquired the certification last week. Really appreciate the efforts that the instructor has put in designing this course covering all the exam relevant topics in the right order including appropriate level of detail for each module. No-nonsense or any waste of time through out the course. Concepts are explained in easy to understand language with proper examples and demo. Also appreciate extra efforts and thought process that he has put in sharing the tips, tricks, clear call out of the common mistakes, quizzes, model exams, etc. BIG THANK YOU to Amandeep for putting up this course. I just took the exam now and I passed although my score wasn't great but this exam was a bit difficult. I wrote the exam last week and I had 730 but I slept through almost all the video so I knew It was because I didn't prepare. I watched the Video again, read the Tableau documentation and re-wrote the exam this morning and this one was a lot harder than the last week's exam, so many things were added. To pass this exam, watch all @Amandeep Videos , follow along with the hands on on your tableau, read all the documentations and make sure you understand when to use what and different ways to create some things like Group, fonts, dashboard layouts and note everything @Amandeep marked as Important.
