Jed Guinto's course is a long, structured walk through Tableau Desktop. The syllabus shows 28 sections, 617 lectures and about 77 hours, starting with a quick start and install, then moving through beginner, intermediate and expert blocks. The expert half covers joins and relationships, parameters, sets, level of detail expressions, dashboard design and actions, stories, and custom charts. It was last updated in February 2026. Beginners are the main audience, with stuck intermediate users as a second one.

Reviewers like the teaching most. They describe Jed as clear and entertaining, and one says they rarely get lost and he re-explains things later when they do. Students also praise the exercises and the simulated datasets. The complaints are mild. One reviewer found the Custom Visualizations section rushed for something so advanced. Another says it can feel lengthy for people already in analytics, since Jed explains points they find obvious. One more wishes the video quality were better. Jed is great. He makes the material easier to understand no matter the complexity, and his personality makes it feel as though you're not in a boring classroom. My main critique comes within the 'Expert - Custom Visualizations' section. For such an advanced section, it feels rather rushed. Jed works a little too fast creating some of the visualizations as well as the explanations without getting too in-depth.
