Yes, it has been a great learning experience. The only thing is the back and forth I had to do between the udemy screen and my screen to work out the examples that were taught during the lectures. As a result a 9.5 hours course took more time...I think almost double of that. Also, sometimes you need to revert back to some previous lectures.

The course is great for people who want to learn Tableau from scratch. One suggestion is to use the data from a relational database instead of text files. It is more practical to use relational database which contains multiple tables and to show how to get data from different tables.

I like this course very much. I like that the instructor teaches to make visualizations without using the Tableau shortcuts, which mean that you have more flexibility to make changes and customize the formats (color, font, etc). I highly recommend the course from Kirill Eremenko as well. You will get a lot of information as well. One course alone is not enough to really grasp the concepts and different applications of this application.

I've used Tableau casually for work for roughly six months and I wanted to improve myself beyond the basics -- this is an excellent course to do so, and should give you the confidence to start tackling harder, more difficult tasks in Tableau. Well worth the money -- thanks Jamie!

Jamie is a Tableau Rock Star! The course is worth every minute and cent spent. I would take this course anytime to boost my Tableau skills. I have been in a number of lecture/demos on Tableau and even some hands on training. So at the beginning, I was somewhat familiar with Tableau. For me, that meant I knew you could do [whatever] in Tableau, but could not remember how. (Very frustrating). The practice gained in this course has improved not only my knowledge of what can be done in Tableau, but also the fluency with which I can do it. Having very detailed instructions; building of skills, with repletion of the basic skills; and a lot of different types of data to work with made this course work really well for me.

Just one thing, the instructor Jamie used a font for all his worksheets but mis-pronounced it every time. He used "Verdana" but pronounced it as "Veranda". I think you should put a message at the beginning recognizing this mistake because changing all the videos would be impossible.

I liked the pace of the course. It has straight-to-the-point explanations and I liked how the instructor gives some tips on how to deal with problems that may crop up while using Tableau. This course will help you to build a foundation and then you can start exploring Tableau to create interesting and meaningful vizzes and dashboards. The project really helped to put things into perspective and reinforced the concepts introduced earlier. A big thank you to Jamie Fry !

really enjoying this... i work with Tableau every day, I have to "teach" new (and... uh... experienced) users and this really gives me ideas, tips, tricks, and a new clarity of thought... thanks... except the font is VERDANA, not VERANDA... (a veranda is an airy kind of porch)

The course is well organized and informative. I look forward to building up my portfolio to leverage Tableau in the workplace. Some suggestions to improve the course: The instructor should dedicate a lecture on how to approach a general review/ analysis of single/ multiple data sources (prior to diving into a chart build). Spending some more time on how to 'see' data relationships will better prepare a new user to get maximum leverage from their data sets. Some more time spent on handling different types of data sources would be great (JSON, Statistical files, PDF, Excel...) would help. New users could also benefit from a bonus lecture on packaging business ready workbooks/ portfolios. All that said, I'm confident that the course gave me a great foundation and starting point for Tableau.
