Then this course is for you!
In this course we will start by approaching the heel toe technique. A technique that has been, in my opinion, underappreciated and underused in the drumming world. First, let’s shed some light on several misconceptions that surround this technique, the ones contributing to having it misinterpreted and, consequently, underused and even ignored. Then, we will learn the technique step by step, details after details and I will present solutions to potential problems.
After that, we are going to step into the preliminary exercises section, which will allow you to give the first steps with the above-mentioned technique, whilst learning how to assimilate that in a rhythmic-musical context. In the following section, you will learn how to blend that technique within a string of exercises based on sixteenth notes. For each exercise we will learn 4 different rhythms/grooves. Then, we will move on to a section that includes a very similar group of exercises, but whose foundation consists of eighth note triplets. Last but not least, we will have the section which I believe is the favorite of many of you… the rudiments section! In it you will learn to do those with double bass drum and you will assimilate them in 4 rhythms/grooves, like in the previous sections. After all this you will be able to create your own rhythms and even perform a double bass drum solo! You just need to let your imagination and creativity flow!
These are the materials which are included in this course:
- All the sheets of all the exercises presented in the course will be available to download;
- All the guitar riffs presented in this course will be available to download.
Extra note:
In some of the course’s sections, certain videos will be played in slow motion, so that you can see everything with the maximum detail. All the videos were recorded at 120 frames per second, to assure you have a watching experience of the highest degree.

I started to study drums in 1997. Two years later I was already playing live as a professional.
In 2003, I started to study orchestral percussion at the Musical Academy of Viana do Castelo, where I finished my complementary music course in percussion and musical training.
Since 2008 to the present day, I have been teaching drums and musical education in schools in the north of Portugal.
Besides the musical area, I always had a huge interest in IT, more specifically programming and game development. Currently I'm an indie game developer with some titles published on Google Play.

Very well organized & easy to understand. In the very first video it showed me exactly what I was doing wrong.

¡Buen curso! Son ejercicios para desarrollar la técnica "Heel Toe" de una manera eficaz y rápida, aparte de que si nunca has tocado doble bombo como yo, te ayudara en coordinación y velocidad en tu doble bombo.

I started from cero in double bass and it really helped a lot. I loved this course! If you want to master double bass, this is the course for you: easy to understand, lots of different excercises and it’s for all levels. You start with easy double bass excercises, but if you escalate quickly you’ll surely find one that it’s for your level. 10/10, no bot.

Well notated, performed slowly and clearly, material developed systematically with basic techniques and avoidance of pitfalls well explained. Good value for money at a discounted price.
